Trading Post Feedback / Items returning

Hello,

I’m not sure if there is a better place to post this than in general.

I wish you had a forum for players to post what items they want to see return to the trading post. Other games have been doing this sort of thing for a long time (Guild wars 2 with their gem store).

I also just want to say how frustrating limited time unobtainable items are. The most recent example for me is the Antoran Felspire.

I have recently spent some time farming old Legion content for the sole purpose of collecting the Felslinger outfit for my warlock alt, because it’s cool. Now I’m in search of a weapon that matches the set, and looking through the wowhead dressing room options - BAM! Antoran Felspire! I didn’t even know this item existed and it’s absolutely perfect.

Oh wait.

Unobtainable. Only made an appearance in July 2023 on the Trading post.

I don’t even remember if I was playing the game in July 2023, but even if I was, I hadn’t created my manari warlock yet so I may not have bought the staff at the time.

The point is, this trading post system needs to do better. Bring back items more frequently, take feedback on items players want to see return. You will make players happy, engage in the game more, and honestly the trading tender system is something you haven’t even scratched the surface of in terms of maximizing player retention.

My advice would be if you see something you really like you should get it or freeze it for later. Items on the trading post are getting exponentially rarer over time due to new items being added every month. So the likelihood of seeing an item return keep decreasing.

They need to do a better job of cycling items through.

I havent seen anything i liked in the tendies shop in a hot minute. Sitting pretty with like 4k tenders, and the themes as of late… are just not my vibe.

IMO, they should “semi-retire” a chunk of the old items to slim the pool a bit, removing them from the TP rotation and putting them on permanent vendors around the world.
