Attempting to purchase reigns of the magenta cloud serpent and keep getting a communicating with the server error telling me to come back later i restarted the game and also my internet.
It’s been broken since April Trading Post went live at reset this morning. Can’t buy the companion pet either, same error.
Same error here, tried to purchase the White Evening Gloves on multiple characters and cannot purchase them or anything else I’ve tried.
Same issue here, just came on hours later to let the rush die down still timing out.
Same issue for me, too. Tried different characters on different realms but all of them got the connection error. It was working last night (3/31) when I purchased a couple of the March items before they went away.
I was finally able to purchase the Magenta Cloud Serpent. Here is what worked for me:
- Moved my Cache, WTF, and Interface folder to a temporary folder on my Desktop.
- Logged into WoW and let it recreate the folders I moved.
- The Traders cache was outlined again for me (I already picked up my traders tender this month). I opened the chest and it said I got 500 Traders Tender but my actual total did not go up.
- I talked to the NPC and purchased the mount. The transaction went right through without any issues.
- Verified that the mount was available in the journal and that I was able to use it.
- Logged out and copied my original folders back into the WoW directory to restore my AddOns and put back the configuration information in the WTF folder.
Seeing that I had previously removed my Cache and WTF folder but only disabled my AddOns, I am guessing the issue has something to do with the AddOns. I am wondering if I didn’t get them all turned off before and just the out of date ones got disabled.
