This thread is really going places. :cat:

Ok I completely agree with you, and imma let you finish…

…But Blizz can make this thematic change after we get the unreleased bikini sets.

Wow the mask came off quick there.

Free does not mean easy to get. I have a job that pays 100k a year. Groceries are easy for me to go get, they are not free. Stop using the word free inappropriatley.

I already have the Hippogryph and Swarmer, but I am definitely getting the Skitterfly. I just ran out of tenders on that Pokee voodoo pet and the cloaks/hoods. Still haven’t finished for the month, so I should have enough when I get the monarch wings.

You’re the one confused as to why something that doesn’t cost any additional money could be described as “free”.

Considering the difficulty, it’s FREE.

See above. If you stop paying for your subscription do you get the currency? No. Ergo, not free. Your money you pay for being subscribed pays for EVERYTHING blizzard does in WoW. You pay for it all. Your time is not free either. There is a thing called opportunity cost. No matter how you slice it, as customers people have the right to complain. People also have the right to tell them they are being petty.

But people aren’t entitled to their own facts. Free means no cost to the end user. Now if people want to say “Virtually Free”, I wont argue with that.

You are literally a walking example of pedantry.

And if you pay for your subscription, are you paying any additional money to acquire tenders? No? Then it’s free.

Indeed, details matter. Specifics Bob. You sir in the same vein are a Sesquipedalian.

Too bad you’re not paying any attention to details. Just making up a molehill so you can turn it into a mountain of indignant anger over your inability to understand the definition of a word.

Free:

not costing or charging anything

There’s literally a charge - its part of the subscription you pay. It is not free. Saying it is free, is like saying the game is free to play because you pay a subscription.

The charge for the subscription is to access the game. Anything beyond that is free. And since the tenders don’t cost any additional money, they are considered free.

So simply by fact that I can login - that is what the subscription is for? Not for any facet of what is delivered as game content? So just get to the login screen - that’s what my sub pays for?

Mounts that you buy from the store are not free, they cost an additional amount of money beyond the subscription. The tenders that you earn in game do not cost any additional money. So they can, by any sane standard, be considered free.

Also, i would like to point out that on the subscription page…

500 Trader’s Tender per Month is itemized as a feature of what you get from paying a 1 month subscription. Blizzard literally markets it as something that is included that your getting as a part of paying for with the subscription.

Did they increase the price of the subscription when they added that in? Nope. Still free.

not to mention in order to actually do much of the activities you need to be above level 20. if it was totally free you could get the tender at level 20.

This doesn’t make it free - this means that your getting more for what your paying for. You can’t buy trader currency and you only get it WITH the subscription.
