I would like to vote for darker content as well.
A lot especially mounts, pets and armor were kind of anime style related with too much colour.

It’s Spring, the season associated with nature, change, and bright colors. It stands to reason that they’d add items of those types around this time, just like how the trading post for the Summer months will include clothing typical of that season.

but last year we got actually good stuff like the harlequin set and blood troll armor. we wont get stuff like that again if its themed around the month
