Trading gold between HC and Retail

Is it allowed on the ToS? I have a bunch of gold on HC classic and i would like gold on retail, but im unsure if its allowed or not.
Can someone confirm or deny?

You misread. The OP claims to have a “bunch of gold” on HC. This doesn’t specify that it’s more.

You can get more gold on retail by:

  1. Dungeons runs
  2. LFR
  3. Do old quests
  4. Trade in the auction house
  5. Buy and sell a WoWToken (currently worth about 355,500 gold)

I’m sure there’s tons of ways.

Retail, Wrath, and Classic-HC are three seperate games, you can’t trade between games.

If you wish to trade someone gold in HC Classic and have them trade you gold in retail that is not against the ToS. However it is not supported meaning that if you are somehow cheated or scammed, Blizzard will not intervene.

Trading gold between servers and eras is allowed but not supported. But if someone scams you they won’t enforce the trade. It’s a risk you take.

Sure. There is nothing in the EULA that is violated by trading in-game gold with someone in Retail in exchange for in-game gold in HC, Classic Era, Wrath Classic, or any variant of those.

However, do keep in mind that these sorts of trades are not supported by Blizzard, so be careful of how you trade and who you trade with, as you may not have any method of recourse should something go wrong.

As of right now, i estimate around 50g HC Classic per 300k Retail gold.

It is not illegal to trade gold for gold in-game. Only it’s on your own risk, as Blizz will not help you if you get cheated by someone.

1 hardcore gold is probably equal to like 1000 retail gold, right? lol :expressionless:
