Trader’s Gilded Brutosaur $90.00 Ripoff!

They should have put the bruto on the bronze vendor or put a gold cost on it. If it cost gold it would act like a much needed gold sink. Now the WoW token is gonna to hyper inflate to 500k or 600k.

My point is that the gaming industry has moved toward a predatory financial model introduced by mobile gaming. If this trend continues it will negatively impact the general gaming community of players.

Another point is this: Mobile games are at least free to play, pay to win. On the other hand Wow is pay to play. Wow players should not be made to pay for in-game stuff. We already bought the game and expansions and pay a monthly subscription.

mobile gacha games have more content then WoW does. TBH

That will still be cheaper than the original Longboi

This how you know a MMO is dying is when they put cool stuff in the cash shop. Instead of putting it in game as a reward.

Oh isn’t this just lovely. Bliz takes the old dinosaur mount model, adds a new skin and charges 90 irl bucks for it. That is so funny. Bliz’s greed is out of control. What’s worse is some of the people here that think that’s perfectly ok.

How about this; Bliz makes this dinosaur mount obtainable by doing a quest chain. The quest chain is available for all subscribers. How about that?

100% people are insane. If you HAD to buy it to Access the Anniversary Event or something? All this anger would be 100% justified.

But it just defies all logic. I bet it somehow makes sense in the OPs head though. I just dont understand how :man_shrugging:

I pulled an epic Swim Suit Xal’atath who decimated my foes and enthralled powerful enemies leading me to fast power growth with 20 million power and 5 million free diamonds!

I like how people are mad at both Blizzard and people who have or will have bought it. It’s really not a good look but it’s hilarious to watch! Sour grapes are real :dracthyr_comfy_sip:

90$ for a mount lol

You’re all acting like $90USD is the only way to obtain this. Players were buying it for a fraction of its BFA price earlier today — 1.3M to 1.5M I believe?

This has never been the case for WoW, because it’s a subscription-based service game. And there have been store mounts in this game for 14 years. That is how long you waited to complain about store items.

The first store mount, the Celestial Steed, sold for $25. The inflation-adjusted price for that in 2024 is $36.15. A mount that gives you an AH and mailbox for $90 is fine.

you don’t have to use any real money if you convert your gold to store credits and buy it

After going so many years without a new brutosaur mount despite the constant stream of requests, it’s not surprising that people jumped on this. I do think that shaming people for buying it is in poor taste. If they want to be mad, they should focus more of that anger at Blizzard.

I counted over 35 brutosaur in town today. So people are buying them in mass.
Some prob used real $ some with gold. Who cares.

It’s all backwards. It is the 20th anniversary celebration. They should be appreciating and celebrating the players who made it possible and giving everyone something special like this mount not exploiting the hell out of everyone for personal gain.

As much as it does upset me. After u get a mount with a mailbox an AH do you really ever need any other mount after that?

LOL your so dang wrong…don’t have to throw real money at it…at the current cost of WoW token at about 308K or so …you only need 6 of them and turn them into Battle net balance of $90 dollars to buy the new Long boi…that is about 1.8 million in gold now to buy it…
