Toy Cooldown, why?

I don’t think it would be game-breaking if we removed the cooldown for the use of toys. Some of them have absolute ridiculous cd’s

A 3-minute cd to use fireworks.
A 2 hour cd for appearance change.

Just thinking out loud

Fun must be rationed.

Because people whine that they are annoyed by someone spamming xyz toy.

My mom wants “tournament favor” to not have a c.d. So she can continuously wipe her bear booty on everyone at goldshire inn.

I think people should be able to toggle their toy use only on their screen in exchange for no toy cooldowns.

I want the foul belly toy not to have a cooldown. If you’ve seen me at Thanksgiving, you know it’s possible!

It depends on the toy. I use the Ashtongue Broken toy to RP as a Broken character. If no else could see this that would be pretty frustrating.

I personally think all toys that break in combat should either have no CD or be permanent until either combat engages or you click it off. :wine_glass:

Because people prefer stable servers and connections to those servers.

Also people abused the toys so Blizzard had to put restrictions on them.

I think there was a post about this in the community council forums if I remember correctly.

Some are way too long, but many would be annoying when spammed constantly.

Mapping slidewhistle toys to your abilities should be a war crime.

lmao.

it’s not fun when you abuse it. too much of a good thing leads to boredom.

IIRC, didn’t a few multi-boxers hardcore spam toys and intentionally lag out maps to “PvP?” I thought that was one of the reasons they all got CDs. I remember a large amount of complaint threads back at the end of WoD.

Why? because people are obnoxious butt-hats with them.

Could be, I don’t pay attention to pvp stuff really. I know I have seen complaints about certain things being too bright/noisy.

If it’s a toy that affects me when someone else uses it (Piccolo comes to mind) then yeah.

But toys that only affect the user? Why have a cooldown?

Also I’d have no grief with the Piccolo if moving my toon was enough to stop me from dancing.

It’s important you have fun but not too fast! Gotta slow that fun down or you don’t know what could happen.

Ya IIRC, they would get a multiboxer with 40 characters that would go into a town and spam 3-4 toys across all 40 characters intentionally griefing the server. It was their way of preventing a PvP loss. If you started to win against them, they’d just force everyone in the area to D/C through toy spam.

Completely understandable that got nerfed then!
