Higher levels of the green fish spell are fine, in fact they’re pretty powerful, but the first level is too weak. Odds of getting the same spell multiple times are not great. The first hit needs a slight boost or the CD needs dropped by a half second or so.

The second time you hit them while they have the DOT it really smacks. You must have missed the second hit.

Yeah dude that 8s second dot that does less total damage than flame whirl in 3s is GREAT
The part where you need to hit twice to do less damage makes it even better.
Which is why I said it needs a slight boost. But I’m guessing you never managed to level it to blue or purple because the lower levels were bad and you dropped it. But if you had it does hit harder by then.
For EIGHT SECONDS … they can’t heal.
In the final battle (<6 players), that’s an ETERNITY.
I don’t really choose that ability, but I recognize its strength.
I’m talking when you first get the spell and you need to kill npcs to level up. It’s just not very helpful.

I’m indifferent to how it is as a lv1 ability (edit to add: you may be right that it needs buffed, I just don’t have an opinion atm). Rime doesn’t flex until it’s Lv4 now, either.
DoTs don’t break heals dude maybe try reading a tooltip
This is actually an active complaint I have.
I’m not going to just STAND THERE and read a wall of text during the game.
But once you pick up an ability and it’s in your hotbar, if you mouse over it… you don’t get a tooltip. So now you CAN’T read what it does.
So… sorry if I’m wrong, but DoTs in every other aspect of the game break interactions. If the fish doesn’t, then it should.
I can read them on my toolbar. maybe you disabled pop-ups someplace?
