As the title suggest the majority of people are just disrespectful and just asking for too much these days. For example would you kick your tanks for a shot boss down? All because a dps didn’t like grouping of mobs. Because he didn’t “parse” well enough. Well I was kicked with the other tank for said encounter. I’d like to believe that there’s good people out there but I’m starting to think this is the best humanity has to offer.
But seriously, am I the only one seeing the community tear itself apart?

I understand the individual words, but not in this order. Can you rephrase?
No, of course not. I understand that a lot of trash packs are specifically designed to be difficult to group up. I often try to help the tank by interrupting casters and using my Bursting Shot to shove them into place.
I do believe in giving A’s for effort in this regard. If you’re honestly trying that works for me.
Who cares about parses for tanks? Hold the mobs. Keep them facing away from the group. Don’t die. Do that and you’re doing your job.
Now if you run the monk of the Jadefire Masters boss in circles around the central pillar in LFR you’re either four years old, having a stroke, or trolling.

The toxicity is probably a natural response to a few things:
-High ilvl gear is extremely easy to get, and there’s an abundance of players who have no clue what they’re doing with a high ilvl.
-The need to be a part of a community has vanished and people just expect carries because they won’t talk to the people they raid with on a Friday evening afterwords
-
RNG gear means that good players can get unlucky, and when RNG is the main gearing factor it gets annoying when you get horrible gear for your main you play the most, and amazing gear for your alts you rarely play
-
People are tired of the crowd who whine constantly about making things easier and assume that anyone they group with that doesn’t know the fights 100% are a part of this crowd.
I hope it gets better, but I have definitely been a toxic member of the community because some things are just frustrating to have to deal with. Especially rogues who have no clue they have an interrupt button AND a shadowstep to make it easy on them.

i think the toxicity is inherent in all gatherings where you don’t get to personally hand pick those around you. like at the gym, or the coffee shop

Are you new to pugging? This isn’t new behavior in pugs.

You know that sounds good to push your agenda but it isn’t true at all.
Some people will always be toxic in response to frustration and some people will never be toxic in response to frustration. Both of these groups, the majority of people are never ‘toxic’ the rest of the time and they all are part of this ‘bad’ system.
Not that I consider removing someone from a raid as being toxic anyway for cause.
yeah but this topic was about the increased toxicity nowadays.
I remember kicking tanks when I started playing again in lfg dungeons for having bad transmogs (when I was with friends while drunk and having 100% of the kick power… remember a few nights fondly…) I’m definitely not someone with an agenda to prune toxicity LOL. I miss that being the highlight of toxicity.
I see this as some reasons why people who wouldn’t normally be toxic are getting frustrated and being so nowadays.

I don’t think there has been an increase in toxicity. I sure haven’t noticed it.
In fact, if you look at LFR, the toxicity in there has been greatly reduced from MoP to current.
welp I’ve seen an increase personally. I used to be able to find cap groups for low rated stuff in PVP just people derping around having fun in Legion. Now I get raged at for forgetting my poisons and dying in a smoke bomb because me and the healer were both idiots for a few seconds… all at 1500cr derpy arenas too…
It’s been a thing forever sure but… Idk there’s just not a lot to pick from in LFG anymore and the people there are usually frustrated I’ve found

LFR isn’t something I ever do so I really don’t have an opinion on that

So according to you there is an increased toxicity in PvP but your entire post was about raiding and carries and community.
raiding has been a headache too that was just one example.

My group is hella toxic.
But I mean, we keep to our own petri dish.

It was probably your transmog but they didnt want you to feel bad so they blamed your low dps.

Ppl choose to be who they want to be
They could walk away, ignore or simple approach it in a reasonable manner but nooooooooo being toxic is easier

It’s funny, I been pushing IO lately and I just broke 1200 last night. I mostly pug my keys, I join other groups because I get stressed out making them my self.
I see very very little toxicity in higher keys, everyone knows their role. The most toxic thing I saw all week was a tank calling out mage who pulled a group we we’re shrouding.
Then tank said “all good” at end of the key

Honestly with how many BiS things are in M+ it could just be that less people are inclined to raid that have good game knowledge. In Antorus I remember some of those trinkets being make or break for my specs…
M+ has been really great this season so far for me in comparison, Reaping is hella fun
Did you by chance mess up Champs? It’s an easy fight but it’ll go to hell on the pull real quick if the tanks mess up aggro.
Well normally not doing the boss fight correctly after this amount of time can result in a kick yes. And no this isn’t the community “tearing itself apart” it’s called having standards.
