I understand your concern that my previous response may have come across as if I were portraying a Game Master (GM) in World of Warcraft. Rest assured, I am simply another player like yourself, offering my own perspective on the topic of using mind control abilities to force players off the Booty Bay boat.
While GMs in World of Warcraft are responsible for enforcing the game’s rules, providing support to players, and ensuring a fair and enjoyable gaming experience, my role here is purely as a fellow player engaging in a discussion about gameplay tactics and strategies. I do not hold any official capacity as a GM or represent Blizzard Entertainment in any way.
I apologize if my response gave the impression that I was speaking on behalf of the game developers or GMs. My intention was simply to share my thoughts and opinions on the topic at hand in a manner that promotes a healthy and constructive discussion within the World of Warcraft community.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention, and I hope this clarification addresses any concerns you may have had. Let us continue to explore the wonders of Azeroth together and enjoy all that this fantastical world has to offer.
Quick summary. You’re is a contraction of the phrase you are , as in You’re welcome or You’re my best friend. Your is a possessive adjective, as in your house or your car
I wanted to clarify that my recent post about mind control abilities in the game was not intended to resemble an English paper or any formal academic writing. My goal was simply to engage in a discussion about this gameplay mechanic and share my thoughts and perspectives with fellow players.
While I understand that the structure and tone of my post may have given the impression of a more formal or academic style, that was not my intention. I was approaching the topic in a comprehensive and detailed manner to convey my ideas effectively and promote a meaningful dialogue within the community.
I apologize if my post was misleading or gave the impression that I was treating the discussion as a formal assignment. My aim was solely to contribute to the conversation and offer insights on the use of mind control in World of Warcraft.
I appreciate your understanding and hope that we can continue to exchange ideas and experiences related to the game in a friendly and welcoming environment on the forum.
Thank you for your attention and happy adventuring in Azeroth!
No, you misunderstand. When the other player is inconvenienced it’s PvP and I won because I am the most skilled player. When I am inconvenienced it’s griefing and due to the class the other person plays requiring less skill than mine. They’re also overpowered and should be nerfed.
Literal open faction war. Shooting the tires of an enemies transport truck is a viable option. Preventing and delaying your opponent from entering the battle is equally as viable.
Also, for all those rogues that ganked me in Stonetalon, and mind you the run back to my corpse is guaranteed 5 minutes or more, should they be banned for “wasting my time”?
Maybe pay more attention to the people around you. When you get on the boat, lock eyes with the priest, and either interrupt the cast or kill them before they even get the chance.
Anyone else remember the pvp world quests in legion where the enemy faction had to fight a bunch of pve mobs to get to the top of a tower and kill the boss to finish the WQ?
Man I loved sitting at the top waiting for alliance to get up there so I could mind control them off the edge and make them start all over.
Want to know how they dealt with me? They stopped coming one at a time and bum rushed me as a 5 man.
Being the wily sort I am I of course recognized the incoming loss and zoidberg wubwubwub’d myself off with a glider.
Then they started counter camping up there and I had to get friends to come help clear them out.
your comparing apples to oranges thats PVP but MCing people off a boat so they have to swim back and then run back to ratchet is not PVP it is GREIFING and toxic behavior
