Toxic healers in solo

Not sure anyone else’s motivation for queuing healer, but I only queue healer because I want to be able to play the game and gear up. If there were a surplus of healers and instant DPS queues, I’d drop healing in a flash and not look back.

That’s horrifically toxic.

Prob cuz people are starting to figure out you don’t actually lose MMR for leaving, you just lose MMR for how ever many rounds you lose. So if they lose the first 2 games and leave, they only lose 2 rounds worth of MMR instead of ending 0:6 and losing a crap ton more.

The 150 CR loss is irrelevant, you can go 3:3 next game and get 100 CR because your CR will be much lower than your MMR.

Everyone handles stress differently, but generally speaking healing is stressful because it’s your role to keep people alive even if they’re not playing up to par.

Sure different game modes are .ore stressful than others. But pvp is already stressful as a DPS.

So I find it silly to complain about a toxic experience when deliberately putting yourself in a toxic situation, extreme cases of harassment aside.

Healers are punished for going 6-0 still. I’m actually surprised there are any healers this season doing RSS.

It’s pretty fun once you get the hang of it, at least in small doses

Healing RSS can be super fun if you run into some dps who trash talked you before. Both of you know how it’ll turn out.
You can customize an addon that auto scan all their alts and add em to your scan. Whenever you’re in a lobby with any of his alt, make him suffer and ruin his day.

It’s you. You’re the one that causes that 2 min queue to pop just to have it decline then pop again in 45 minutes :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

A dps seeing it goto 5/6 and then kick back to searching is literally their 9/11

Doing gods work

I really don’t think you can make that kind of sweeping generalization. For instance, I don’t find healing stressful; in fact, I quite enjoy it. It meshes nicely w my natural instinct to play defensively and livelord. Surviving - and helping others survive, is my jam.

The role, itself, isn’t inherently stressful, and it can be just as fun and rewarding as any other. What makes it stressful, typically, are external factors like - for example - bad teammates and aggressive Dampening. And wouldn’t you know it, RSS has both in the spades! This is especially true <2k MMR, where DPS apparently make it their mission to die LoS/OoR. I love healing, but I can’t stand RSS.

That’s right.

Healers tend to enjoy more organized and controlled gameplay, w a slightly slower pacing, which reduces their stress considerably. For instance, from a Healers perspective, Arenas >>> RSS.

Stressful moments are one thing - every go in an Arena is a (relatively) stressful moment; however, 6 rounds of non-stop stress is another.

Wait… you’re blaming Healers for RSS being a toxic cesspit of the worst PVP players this game has ever produced? “Just don’t play a Healer, bro.” That’s your solution? Alright… I won’t!

(You might have wanted to think that suggestion through first - just sayin’.)

And ppl wonder why Healers are snapping. This is what we deal w.

You want to know what’s happening w Healers? You want to know why they get so frustrated that they AFK out or just stand and let you die? Go to YT and look up things like “Healing Solo Shuffle.” Watch as top-end players lose their minds; literally get up and go AFK, punch things, scream at their monitors… then maybe you’ll start to understand. If this is the top-end experience, imagine what it’s like at lower CR/MMR w worse players!

Healing isn’t the problem. Healing is fine. RSS is just a trash game mode that’s horrible for Healers.

idk dude i can’t get 2100 in 2’s. Above 1800 everyone is a multi rank 1 in the 2’s bracket running the most meta rdruid comps possible.

prob yeah

for each healer throwing a match there are 4 dps throwing a match for a healer player. so yeah prob thats the reason

Nop, because 1 it’s a DK and 2 you tried to rip on me for ‘not healing’ when my healer is higher CR than yours. Remember you’re the one that started then, then hopped chars to avoid an ignore.

I completely agree with this idea.

I agree.

Every solution is difficult and would require great effort, as well as bringing successes and perhaps more problems.

Whether it’s creating new healer specs for all classes, or going for other ideas like removing healers and adding self-healing skills for DPS… or making it so that every 10 matches, 1 dps plays as a healer of his choice. …or create new brackets of x2 SS, x1 SS…or remodel MMR to be something personal and no longer via group…

All the ideas given here in the pvp area lead to more doubts and new problems.

This happened to me earlier in the week

I used to take issue with leavers, now I am the epitome of the leaver. I no longer care. Blizz has placed healers in such a bad position in shuffle between the CR/MMR debacle to putting up with the meat head dps zug zugs that trash talk to simply discovering it means nothing for me to leave, lose 150 cr, and gain it back in 1 or 2 insta que matches.

I played against 3 previous multi-glad’s yesterday at 1700. 3. I am not a glad.

If blizz doesn’t care about “me” and “my” problems in game - I don’t care about you and yours. Simple as that. Don’t like it? Hope you don’t get me or a healer like me in there. I could care less

No, it’s karma.
