The other day I started a thread about Soul Cinders being a stupid time gating mechanic that forces people back into old content Torghast that already the community has universally condemned as un-fun.
As expected, me and the few brave enough to stand-up for it got bashed for being a whiner and people saying things like “if you cant spend 20-30 minutes running Torghast for cinders then you don’t deserve legendaries”
Now Blizzard agrees and makes Soul Cinders purchasable with Cosmic Flux - something that should have been done weeks before so people don’t have to go back to dead old Choreghast and focus on the new content that we paid for which is 9.2.
The same group of people who were ridiculing the “Whiners” and “Complainers” are now enjoying the fruits of our labor.
Normal people should be able to praise good things and criticize the bad without contradicting themselves. It’s the extremists that stand out though. The drama queens who are always upset, and act like every problem is the end of the world. Then at the other end of the scale are the ones who fawn over everything Blizzard does in an obsequious manner, desperately hoping for a blue to give them a pat on the head.
That’s not hypocritical. The logic you claim these “other people” used was that the previous system wasn’t that difficult to engage in, but then had no problem when it was made even easier. There is nothing hypocritical about that. They didn’t find the previous system problematic and they don’t find the current system problematic. Mind you, whether or not their opinions were objectively true is irrelevant. I am just pointing out that they are not hypocrites for the ones you claim they hold.
I had no issue with it being there, but that’s probably because I’m in the group that doesn’t mind the concept of requiring the player put in effort and do content to make ones character better. It would seem that you do not agree on this, to which I ask: why are you still here?
Yes, we know. You should try posting on a character you’re not constantly starting garbage threads on if you want to be taken seriously. Just a thought.
drama is fun, and everyone here agrees considering threads that actually are important to the health of the game get ignored and controversial and political threads with little to zero importance to the actual health of the game get hundreds of responses.
Yes these people exist and they are everywhere, the same people who pushed back about account bound essences, conduits and covenants are now having a great time swapping for all content and absolutely zero of the negatives they complained about actually manifested.
Honestly this is why I was sad to see Yesuna leave, that person kept the PullTheRipcord thread as first boss for literal months because they were too busying trying to argue with every single person who cheered on the change.
