Seems like this is a bit much for what could otherwise be a good solo / non-group content achievement.
Don’t high end raiders/M+ have enough exclusive content? Why lock out the biggest completionist meta of the expansion (Back from the Beyond feat) by making Tower Ranger require such a high gear level? Or am I missing something - are people getting this with low 250s gear?

I was able to get it pre-250. Of course, I did it as blood so that’s pretty easy-mode.

Ever heard of a long term goal? Ever worked towards one? If you think this is too hard for you, you should side with those LFR slime cat beggers who want rewards handed to them for 0 difficulty involved. WoW isn’t for you if you can’t get yourself to work for this achievement when others have below 250.
Torghast is solo content. It can be challenging, sure, but it is far from unsoloable.
Some classes are more frustrating than others. Necrolord Monk (any spec) is ezmode with the bonedust brew power. I did most as BrM. I haven’t tried Mage but if you have the option of another class, give it a shot if Mage isn’t working out for you.
It’s hard but doable, my rogue (240~ ilvl) is almost there I just cheese the best I can if I don’t get certain anima powers by the second floor I leave and try again.

Soloed it, all of it, you are a mage the only one that hurts is maybe mort, just keep rerolling floors till you find the one that works for you.
It’s a lot more fun with friends.

I advice you to do it on a monk. Necro monk. Brewmaster helps.
Honestly, with the item level bump from season 4, the top levels of Torghast should be a piece of cake in a couple weeks, once we’re sufficiently geared.
Also helps that conduits are no longer a concern, since you can just buy all the max level ones at once, with no restrictions.
Practice makes perfect. Get started on practicing.
