I’m an Assassination Rogue looking for a Destruction Warlock and a Holy Paladin to join forces with in the upcoming tournaments. Swapping out the Destruction Warlock with a Fire Mage would also work if needed. I can’t promise we’ll win anything but I think it would be fun!
I’ve already enrolled/named the team as Inert Pawns, because the enrollment deadline for the first cup is soon.

Please make sure you are able to commit to the following:
- Be present at the time/date listed for each tournament.
- Make time for the team to practice before each cup (Regardless of our performance during the first and second cups). At minimum 3 times per week for one hour each.
- Talk on Discord during tournaments and practice.
- Bring an improvement mindset.

Are you finding assassination viable this season? I miss the spec!
I played a 2v2 match where two sub rogues blew all their cooldowns on my partner, killing him in about 3 globals. Afterwards they turned into wet floppy noodles. I hit evasion when they turned to me and spread bleeds on both of them. They died pretty quickly.
Maybe they were just bad and forgot to use their defensive cooldowns, but it felt good. I would say that, assassination is more viable the longer the match lasts. In 3v3s, matches that last longer than a minute I usually start overwhelming the other team.
The healer can’t keep up, or once or twice I’ve seen them run out of mana. I’ve found that assassination does not work at all when you try to burst down straight out of the gate. Recently, I’ve tried focusing on preventing the other team from being able to deal damage while also spreading bleeds.
This seems to work much better and I was able to win a string of consecutive games with that playstyle/focus. In those games I was partnered with a DH and a Holy Paladin. However, I think another class that can provide additional CC that doesn’t interfere with my bleeds/CC would work much better.
I found that the DH Imprison ability not only removed my bleeds, but also interfered with the DR on my blind. (I’m aware blind also removes bleeds.)
So yea I think assassin is viable with the right playstyle and comp. I think the warlock’s fear/horror effects would compliment assassin well.

I really don’t mean no offense or to sound like a douche, but players in these tournaments have been rank 1 for over 10 years, some of them with over 20 rank 1 titles under their belt. If you know that already and still wanna try just for the lolz then it’s okay, I support it 100% and wish you good luck and lots of fun, but have in mind that with 1550 xp playing against these players would be like having a 10 year old kid hoop vs prime Michael Jordan

It’s for the lolz. I enjoy competition. Sometimes I do hackathons too. I’ve done 8 hackathons and won 2 of them. Altogether I won about 25k from doing hackathons which was nice. Also ran a marathon with only a few weeks of practice and I finished in 4 hours 10ish minutes. I think it would be a fun experience.
