Touch of life

Light bulb idea. And i’m sure someone has thought of it before. Mistweavers should get an ability called touch of life. Melee hit a friendly target equal to your total max health. Let me know if you need anymore ideas blizz.

Yeah, it is called Lay on Hands and exists since vanilla.

It would be too clunky and frustrating to use , especially in fights where everyone is moving all the time. Yet the top players will use it very effectively so it will be OP in the hands of the top 5% and annoying for 95% of the rest.

And because the top 5% will overperform , they will nerf the rest of the healing to make it on part with the other healers and 95% of the people will hate it

So no thanks

Lol I’m well aware. And its not the same. LOH is not based on the paladins health and is ranged. BTW there are a lot of similar abilities in the game across classes(warrior and guardian druids can both charge for instance !).

This is actually a cool idea.

If they really wanted to downgrade it to make it in line with the rest of our kit they could make it something like “only usable on targets lower than 30% hp, melee range only”

Actually I thought of this name already…

ToL is a long hot that can only be on one player at a time. If the target dies with ToL on them they get battle rez’d by the time the hot would have ended…

It would certainly be a niche ability, but Blizz wouldnt nerf an entire healers tool kit based off one CD. I’m, not sure where your getting these stats from( I think that way more that 5% of the player base can handle such an ability fine). But an easy work around is to just have the monk dart to a player within 10 yards for instance.

-This is an interesting take on it too!

Better yet:

Touch of Life: Returns a dead party member back to life. instant, requires the caster to physically touch the party member. Party member returns to life with 100% health and at least 20% mana and has a 1mil chi cocoon on them.

( instant cast and chi cocoon is to offset needing to touch the dead individual )

With how fast we can burst an individual back to full I feel like it would be better suited as a B Rez than a full heal.

But lay on hands is absolutely based on the paladins health. It says it right in the tooltip. You give someone else 100% of your paladins health as healing…

As funny as it would be to see a Mwr trying to catch someone to heal them with touch of life it would be devastating to lose the kill potential for PvP. If they did let us choose it would be nice.

Actually really makes me want a touch of drunk to reverse all movement for a player for 5 seconds tbh

As a heal, it’s basically an inferior and clunky version of chi cocoon. As a brew, sure. It doesn’t need to be melee range though. Touch of karma has a range. Think of it as your chi touching their chi.

Touch of drunk is a much better idea :joy: After the reverse it gives them the drunk visual effect for 15 seconds.

Doubles the effect against small races and halves it for bigger races and does nothing against other brewmasters

You could even make it a toolkit choice

Used against melee they randomly drop their weapon or against casters it causes casts to require longer channeling

Really? And here I thought my lay on hands did 100% of my max health as healing. Huh. Glad I learned something on the forums instead /s

I must just be ignorant of that part of the ability cause I’ve never not seen/notice it heal a tank with way more health than the paladin to full health. No need to be snarky :]
