It feels just like shield of vengeance for ret paladins, this cd once upon a time was scary and actually blasted/punished people who dps’d into it. Now it just feels like it buys you two globals without taking damage. i love the ability but it just feels very underwhelming to press.
No it didn’t. You could dispel it the exact same ways before it became worthless and make that “punish” worthless.
Or play with a pally and BOP it and still kill the WW.
Or kill the WW through it.
The only reason Karma is a bad CD, and has been for 3 expacs, is because we don’t have 100% karma from tier set like we had in MOP/WOD
I’d say good karma was better than 100% shield
dude… im not talking about using a CD to negate the ability. im talking about zug zug warrior that can dps into it and doesnt take any damage from it… it needs to have a buff that makes that button worth pressing…

It needs to be a beefed up.
I remember mages, pallies, and even rogues could cloak it off for a while there.
At this point I would be happy if it was a bubble with a heal and no damage to the oppent. This would stop the pve cheese of using it as a dps in burst situations.
Just make it absorb 100% of all damage, just like bubble and not a stupid nerfed 50% of our hp, done for the time it is up and make it heal us for 50% of the damage absorbed but no reflection of damage.
Then we have a legit get off me move just like turtle, bubble, iceblock, vanish, mind games, etc… you know make us even with the other classes instead of always being the underdog.
personally i think there should be a pvp talent for monks that makes karma last 6 seconds makes you immune to all damage and returns 100% of damage taken during its duration. so you would have 6 seconds instead of 10.
50% absorb just isnt enough right now health pools are 350k on average ret paladins hit for 140k in a global…
I think the biggest problem is karma does ticks of damage. Would be way more punishing if it built up the damage and sent it all at once kinda of like TOD use to build up the damage and then send it.
Would still be a good defensive but also be way better for actual CDs.

You mean just like an instant explosion? It might help things, but the absorb would still need to get buffed because someone could just pop a defensive themselves and ignore it anyways
As it is currently not alot of people have to use a defensive.

I almost feel touch of karma should become like how thorns works now, but also triggers from spells too while putting a dmg reduction up too.
That way it becomes a real don’t touch it moment.
Here’s a thought. What if Karma was actually improved instead of constant nerfs and trades. The last actual improvement Karma got was the 20 yard range, and that was just baselining a glyph.
Imagine if the devs rubbed their brain cells together and made Karma 100% of our health, with no nerfed damage, baselined Good Karma, and ripped code from Blessing of Sac to make Karma’s damage instant and not dispellable.
Idk I always felt it being a thorns+dr wall would keep the theme of the spec and not be abused by pve dps for increase.
That’s the whole reason it keeps getting nerfed in the first place.
Keeping it as an absorbed does not fix the problem of it being a useless CD defensive for big group content in PvP.
This feels like crappy reasoning to nerf it on Blizz’s part. And it’s only because they can put a number on it. There’s tons of defensives to abuse to get damage in, but they don’t have a number on them and they make it under the radar.
C’mon we both know Blizz could have solved this issue long ago by baking Spell/Projectile Reflect into Turbo Fists/FoF. And it’d be leagues above whatever they do with Karma.
I already don’t like the parry, I don’t like safety nets and passive no thought defenses.

Not really, no defense actively increases the damage that something deals
True, but in the vein of use defensives to get more damage in, there’s bubble, cloak, bop, ret’s karma, etc.
I don’t blame them for that. If anything, I blame WW’s potato scaling for that.
I agree to a certain point, but we need something strong to consistently charge and break gun lines.

I miss this, but this doesn’t full on break lines. This leaves things more up in the air than turning people’s global’s against them.

Feint is an active defense
