Totghast community is aweful

Thanks for helping with a difficult time. /s

I’ve had fairly good luck with groups.

Also if you don’t like groups, just solo it. A big majority of my runs are solo runs!

If I could, it would have been done. I can’t mitigate 7k hits from the final boss, as and I can’t kill fast enough to go all out.

Bro you’re plate, use your plate.

Oh wait youre posting on a character you don’t play on. That’s disappointing.

If I can solo Torghast as shadow, you can do it in whatever DPS you are, broseph.

I had zero trouble until Layer 4 on my Fury Warrior.
And he’s less geared than my Ret Paladin and doesn’t have a Legendary yet.

I only have problems when I pull badly. Or I underestimate the trash. And don’t interrupt.

Lol

You think it’s easy until you have a lot of shizz hitting your flimsy cloth dress. We can’t all be cowardly rogues that disappear when they screw up.

Don’t bother with groups. It is a waste of time unless they are friends/guild members.

My best advice for soloing the bosses is to completely ignore any survivability powers. The extra health % won’t do squat for the final boss.

You need to take offensive powers to rush the boss before it can kill you.

As a mage, if i dont get the anima power that gives my clones extra spells (where they can also move around and kite) then I don’t even bother. Faster to just call time of death and try again and pray for better powers.

these threads crack me up.

if you’re having problems solo, ask for help with what you can do to improve, instead of throwing a tantrum and blaming everyone other than yourself.

I am still waiting for my first ever non-dumb death in torghast. (I.e rolling off edge, standing on traps, etc).

And I completely layer 6. I have done multiple runs for fun with no reward. Still, not an issue. (I do them as windwalker - before anyone try’s pointing out ‘tank spec’)

It is all about your ability to read the fight, interrupt, dodge, use cooldowns constantly, understand anima powers and which ones combo well, as well as know you can’t do just offensive powers, need a balance of offense and defense.

My entire team dies for a trap XD

It was fun to watch.

who on god’s green earth does torghast in a group. a PUG group no less, is there any worse idea?

That may be true for some melee classes, but it is far more effective to aquire offensive powers to kill the boss before it kills you.

Not really. Perfect example is fury warriorslt I run on.

On layer 5 by the end I had stacked multiple anima powers so that: I had enrage regeneration last 1.5 minutes. It’s cooldown was 1 minutes.

I.e - I constantly had a 30% damage reduction as well as I always healed 20% hp on bloodthirst.

Didn’t die, and boss took a little while due to 500k+ hp. But my ho never dropped below 80%.

However if I didn’t do that, I figured I would have died as it was a constant spell casting mob and armor is useless on them, plus interrupt and spell reflect are long cooldowns.

Self healing is definitely very useful and I would argue they are just as good as offensive powers. I agree with you on that.

But if you have a choice between %hp bonus or %mastery bonus for example, I would argue to go for the latter every time.

Not necessarily.

First some classes have meh Mastery. And HP bonus goes farther. For example - Windwalker Monk.

Touch of karma - take 70% less damage and transfer said damage to target up to half your maximum hp. And heal for said amount (talent).

The more you raise that max HP, the better the Cooldown becomes, both offensively and defensively.

Also more HP means you can stack more of those extra powerful ones that take HP away.

It all comes down to understanding which choices are best as presented. Sometimes if you see good defenses, you combo off that, sometimes you see good offenses you combo off that. It is the essence of rogue-lites a game style I love.

Which is why I said some melee classes.

I am mostly on my mage and defensive powers are basically useless for us.

probably the same people who couldn’t cope with proving grounds?
