Conclave is dead but no matter what platform I jump from, no matter what angle, it always returns me to one of the exterior four platforms.

After about 20 minutes of jumping, I tried it in night elf form instead of Cat or on a mount and made it. Not sure if this is intention or not but it's certainly annoying.
Did you try clicking on one of the whirlwinds that spawns on the middle of each of the platforms after the Conclave dies? If you walk off the edge you're supposed to be taken to the next Conclave platform - that you actually managed to get to Al'akir's is quite remarkable.

I just soloed this raid but after the connclave was dead there was no loot and the whirlwind that takes me to Al'Akir isn't clickable, so I can't get to him to finish the raid .... Grrrrrrrr ....

I normally just take a leap over to Al Kir but was unable to do so today and had to catch the whirlwind ride over. How odd that this only works part of the time> Ive been just jumping over towards Al kir for so long that I had forgotten about the clickable whirlwind that gets you across. A little snooping around led me here for a quick reminder on the right way across. Ive been farming the mount solo since before 5.4 and maybe its different on normal or heroic since I normally just run Normal but today was running heroic for some odd reason. At any rate if your running into problems getting across find that whirlwind :)

Had the same problem, I just kept jumping at al akir until it for whatever reason just took me to his platform
You have to click pretty high on the whirlwinds on the platforms. Baffled me for a bit as well. Also got the missed jumps in ghost wolf form.

This, and after Al'akir is dead, you are able to fly up and click the blue crystal for loot. Easy as pie :)
Yeah I had same problem. Clicked on whirlwind after conclave was dead took me to boss once he was dead he disappeared and there was no loot in the air.
