Totems Everywhere

If you have three shaman in a party, can they all put down the same totems and do they stack?

I.e. mana spring or healing spring etc.

Mana spring doesn’t stack (most don’t stack) but I think healing stream does because each totem is doing it’s own healing.

  • Manaspring does not stack,

  • Healing Stream should stack,

  • Any and all buffing totems do not stack, but you can totem twist between Windfury totem and Grace of Air totem to get the effects of both for your part (although it’s super mana intensive.)

  • Tremor totem stacks, and they can pulse at different times.

  • Grounding totems stack.

  • Mana tide…I think it stacks since it just pulses for mana, but don’t quote me on that.

  • Windwall totem and Stoneskin totem don’t stack, (Edit: to clarify, they DO work together; I meant 2 of each do not stack.)

  • Stoneclaw totems…well, who cares. I don’t think they’ll hold aggro well enough in a dungeon even if you spam them, but it could be worth checking out.

  • Searing, magma, fire nova totems all function regardless of how many shamans use them, but each shaman can still only summon one.

  • Resistance totems don’t stack.

Am I forgetting any? Oh

  • Poison/Disease cleansing totems DO stack.
  • Tranquil Air totem…I actually don’t know.
  • Earthbind totems do stack, and pulse individually just like Tremor totem.

Ok ending my post now even if I forgot one.

What about sentry totem?

Far as we’re concerned, that totem doesn’t exist.

Jokes aside, I was about to write it down, but then got side-tracked in my Stoneclaw Totem dilemma.

I wish we could make your post a sticky. Nicely done.

To clarify, resistance totems of the same element to not stack.

Haha, well I don’t know about that, but I’m glad you found it helpful. I just hope I’m not forgetting something important.

They don’t stack but theres so many totems you can all use different ones. One shaman can focus on dps buffs, another can focus on spell resistances and another can focus health/mana regen and cc. Just like Paladins, having more then 1 Shaman can be very beneficial.

Ha! I thought “what about the windwall totem!” (If that’s what it’s called, the one that reduced ranged damage).

Any of them that enchant or buff stats will not stack (which is pretty much every totem). But you can use different ones for an element. Grounding/tremor can technically be stacked if you don’t drop both at the same time. This is mainly done to double tremor a tank vs bosses that fear all the time. While alliance have an easy mode fear ward buff, horde must gamble with tremor totems or slot an undead tank (which you probably don’t have because most warriors don’t pick undead).

If you have multiple shamans, though, there should be no need for totem twisting, right? So one can drop a Windfury and the other Grace of Air and the whole party benefits from both?

Oh, yeah definitely. Similarly, Stoneskin + Strength of Earth will both affect the party if the shamans coordinate.
