I’m amazed nobody mentioned this yet but, damn it’s annoying to keep it on.
2 minute duration, range limited AND on the global cooldown.
Why isn’t this some sort of buff like paladin seals or mage’s arcane intellect?
It’d be so fun to pop this one per hour and get the totems pop when you start combat.
Because nostalgic people cried about totems this totems that and Blizz put the buffs on short range totems.
Worst part is that the best talent in the tier, a 2 min ranged buff in the global cooldown
It is a little bit of an unnecessary thing to have to keep track of in a hectic raid.
I suck at managing it as well, however most of this is due to refusing to use it.
It synergizes well with SK.
SK>TM>LvB>FS>SE>LB>LB>EotS>LB(ES) spam.
It’s no where near perfect but it helps me.
So I am either SK>TM on CD or every other CD.
I just spent the afternoon simming the bejesus out of all my gear and SoP is actually ahead 200ish dps.
This actually makes it every other CD because I use ES>SoP+LvB just enough to bring SE down to 2 min then I am back to my initial opener every 2 min.

I found myself doing better just going full 1 talents, they take nothing to mantain and you don’t have huge DPS losses when having to move or purge or CC something.
I have not fully tested its dps benefit but its a 0 cost and an instant cast. On the GCD? so what…drop it before your fight. Capacitor Totem cost mana, tremor totem mana. Counter strike mana. Skyfury mana. Grounding mana. Only Totem mastery, earthbind, and wind rush totems are free.
It has a range of 40 yards which is enough for pretty much every pve encounter. You can spam drop totems as you run… developers made it silly easy to maintain and use.
Uh, I don’t think the other classes have their passive buff on the GCD, 2 min duration and 40yds range and have to recast it midfight.
