Any advice? I try to solo, when I get shifted into spirit world sometimes the boss bugs out and despawn. It seems like the mechanics were designed for at least 2 players, one in spirit world and one out to hold boss’ aggro.
I got around that by using one of the urns on the side to begin the fight in the spirit world. Get her down close to 30% then use the urn again to go to the top before they’re broken and push him to final phase. The mechanic that moves you into the spirit realm doesn’t happen in the last phase so you should be able to finish him at that point.
Still doesn’t work. I am trying mythic if that matters.
Can you post a video of your attempts? Or try to explain exactly what happens and when?
I haven’t done it since prepatch, so I went in just now and the strat I posted worked as normal.
Make sure when you pull the boss you are looking at Soul Queen Dejahna, not the Enginge of Souls.
You’ll need to use one of the urns on the side of the room around 30% of her health or they will break and the fight may reset.
Then it’s just a dps race to kill the Engine before it casts Spear of Anguish. I’d never seen it in the last phase before, but it was mid cast when I killed it this time, so I was mistaken when I said it wouldn’t happen.
What is your ilvl? It may just be a higher dps check than you can do without more gear. Save cds for p3 if you haven’t been and see if that helps.
