What’s obnoxious is getting the Calligraphy achievement to acknowledge your completion of the quest.

It’s a strange puzzle but eventually it completes. Swear the lines are the same! You have to hit the corners or go past it a bit. Stay mounted and run it.

How do you get the perfect score for the achievement though?

There are achievements for the tortollan quests?

I loved when I made a perfect circle, but slightly off the path I failed and then made eggshape with a big bump in it when my mouse slipped I & completed it…

It shows up on the Acheeze List. wowhead comments had people who did it on the PTR but it’s not triggering on Live. Oh well.

crab quest is more enjoyable than turtle quest

Press 1, 2 to move, skip 3, & 4 to throw the shell. There, that’ll be challenging enough for players.

Thanks Blizzard, because there’s an absolutely important reason why we can’t press 3 to throw the shell…

The only one I’ve gotten credit for on the achievement is the Circle, and that was before they changed them to allow for easier completion. So I’m not sure what they want anymore to actually credit it, or if it’s just bugged in general.

It’s just for the Calligraphy quests. It’s basically getting them right the first attempt, but it hasn’t been awarding me credit on them since they adjusted the quests.

I don’t mind them at all. I think they are much better than the ones they had in legion (i forgot what rep it was).

Kirin Tor had some interesting ones. I enjoyed joking with Kadgar.

I think they missed a golden opportunity with the new balance of life Tortollan quests. They should have split these quests into Horde and Alliance. Basically, if you’re Horde, beach defense is up, if Alliance balance of life, “or visa versa,” and when you do the quests you play AGAINST the player doing the other side. Maybe they could put some of that IE AI they’re so proud of to use and have it copy your game style after you win so the other player continues to be challenged.

Obviously they’d have to have some kind of bot in case you’re doing the quest when noone else is but with cross realm i doubt this would be a large issue.

If you tried those day one they’ve since hotfixed them to be much more forgiving. The circle one was all but impossible on day one but since then it’s easy.

Yes, I agree.
I really like doing the matching turtle shell game. The ‘make Loh go’ isn’t too awful. Better than Legion’s barrel quest, imo.
