Tortollan Trader Stock, or What Do I Do With All These Rings?

So, I took care of the Tortollan emissary on 14 characters today.

9 of my characters needed only trinket upgrades
1 needed trinkets also, but also needed a single ring upgrade
1 needed 2 ring upgrades, and also had a trinket slot that could be upgraded
1 needed upgrades for all the slots
1 needed no upgrades for any slots
1 wasn’t offered upgrades (ilevel 410 offered, all rings/trinkets above that)

Out of all of those characters, only 2 received trinkets - and one of the ones that did was given a trinket they already had so they couldn’t equip it. So out of the 12 characters that needed trinket upgrades, only 1 actually got one.

I realize it is far too late in the expansion for this to get fixed, but when emissaries are implemented in Shadowlands, please let us select between a random ring or a random trinket. This has been a regular occurrence for months and it isn’t fun gameplay, it doesn’t make me want to play more, all it does is make me want to spend my time playing some other game that won’t make me angry.

12 rings across my 14 characters - with only 3 being upgrades! - isn’t bad RNG when it happens every time I do this. These slots are already a pain to get upgrades for - the added pain isn’t something I think any player wants.

I hear you, its completely rediculous. I actually have 24 toons and all but 3 need trinkets and none of them need rings. It sucks waiting for the tortollian to hit each week and 95% of the time it rewards useless crap like war resources. Then the 5% of the time you get lucky and it rewards a ring or trinket, it feels like 95% of the time you get a ring.

14 characters so far, and the stats are 11 rings and 3 trinkets. One of the trinkets was on a character that only needed a ring, another was a duplicate of the one 445 trinket I already had :frowning: So, one upgrade out of 14 characters. My spouse has not gotten one trinket out of 10 characters. So yeah, can’t be just RNG. It especially sucks since you can more easily get rings off of the world bosses from Pandaria and Uldum, but can’t get trinkets except from higher level content that most of my alts will never see…

I agree, please let us choose between the ring and trinket (still could get a duplicate, but would be better), also would be nice to have a choice of a few items from the equipment emissaries as well. I only need one pair of pants, not 10…
