Which be easier time doing PvE contents like dungeons/raids and such (Normal/heroic?) and also open world ?
frost is pretty chill.
Pick Mage.
Post-WoD Demo Lock is heresy.
I like both classes but I only play affliction on my lock. It’s not as powerful as it was years ago but it’s always fun.
I’m partial towards Warlocks, but mages seem like they could be fun! So I’m probably gonna loosely keep my mage-alt going for TWW!
Metamorphosis is a demon hunter ability, and belong to demon hunters.
It was stolen from the Skull of Gul’dan along with knowledge about the Tomb of Sargeras.
Gul’dan was a Warlock.
If you want survivability in the open world, go Warlock.
Warlocks are notorious for being immobile though, so it’s something you may want to consider if you’re going to do dungeons too.
But Illidan is a Demon Hunter (see below), and Gul’Dan was not (nor did he ever use any kind of demonic form):
Dunno about demo. Affliction is in a decent spot right now. Frost is in a good spot, and so is arcane (different playstyle though).
Really it comes down to playstyle. Locks are very durable, between the pet, large health pool, life drains, and healthstones, and so a lot of solo players like them.
Mages have to be more aware of their surroundings, and in certain situations, they have to make sure they have the room to maneuever around and manage aggro while they are doing it, while also remaining still enough to cast the cast-time spells that generate procs and/or build resources. So it’s a bit more of a juggle. Mages can’t face tank for a bit like a Warlock can, though, and so you need to use your defensives more often (shields, illusion, etc), and unlike a Warlock you have no straightforward heals available during combat other than pots.
I like both, and I am currently going back and forth in my mind as to whether I will start with my aff lock or my arcane mage. But they’re different playstyles (even Demo is quite different from a mage), and so for you it will probably come down to that.
Hands down frost mage! Have you seen the frostfire ability? So cute omg
I’m still correct. That’s not a demon form like the one you are talking about.
He asked Kil’Jaeden for additional powers and Kil’Jaeden empowered him. That’s a Kil’Jaeden empowerment spell/blessing from KJ himself. If you want to learn more about it, here’s an audio-drama that explains why and how Gul’Dan chose to accept this kind of power when he usually detests relying on others:
I recommend Affliction Warlock > Demo if your after low apm class
Atm kinda tempting to go Frost mage when Earthen comes out ?
The topic got me thinking of that song: Torn between to mages. Feeling like fool.
Loving both of you is breaking all the rules.
No, you’re not.
A Demon form is a Demon form. Look at the various species of Demons around WoW. Not every one of them has the same characteristics.
Also I’m sorry but acting like you know what I’m talking about better than me is the height of hubris.
Hate to break it to you, but that’s how it works for all magic users that are or used to be mortals.
Magic doesn’t come from mortals. It comes from magic beings and magic dimensions. Just as every Mage on Azeroth takes their power from the Ley Lines, the lifeblood of the Titan we live on, every Warlock draws their power from Demons and the Nether.
If you take enough of it, eventually you become a Demon yourself.
“Whatever the case, willing or not, a creature is transformed into a demon when its body is saturated with fel energy.”
-Warcraft Encyclopedia“All creatures who use the power of fel magic, willingly or otherwise, slowly take on the appearance of demons.”
-Dungeon Journal, The Maker
You should also know that long before he got to the Tomb of Sargeras for the audio drama, Gul’dan was already transforming into a Demon.
“Gul’dan’s as much demon as he is orc.”
-Khadgar
Also, Gul’dan’s top apprentice Teron’gor used the exact same Metamorphosis Warlock players use in his Dungeon fight. From whom do you think he learned that from? And that was in WoD, when they were already taking steps to remove Warlock Meta from Warlocks to make room for Demon Hunters.
Finally, if Warlocks weren’t supposed to transform into Demons, Blizzard wouldn’t have made a Hero Talent tree about that.
That’s a Warlock Hero Spec. You can tell that’s a Warlock, not a Demon Hunter, because he has eyes and he isn’t trying to seduce his sister-in-law.
The reality is that Meta wasn’t removed from Warlocks because it didn’t belong to them. It was removed from Warlocks because Demon Hunters had to be as special as possible to sell more Legion copies.
Just as both Paladins and Priests turn into angels, both Warlocks and Demon Hunters should turn into Demons because that’s what Fel Magic does to the user.
