Torghast was fun until this week

The entire point of putting something like this into the game is so that classes can feel powerful and the abilities within to change up their gameplay.

It shouldn’t take 3-5 times longer to kill a regular elite than it does in a mythic 0.

Please roll back all player nerfs and all enemy buffs from the 12/15 patch.

What level were you trying to do?

I’m betting it’s above a 4, and here you are complaining “Why can’t I do the hardest content the day it’s released?”

Going to guess Blizz doesn’t want everyone to have higher Torghast levels on farm in starter gear.

I’m 202 ilvl solo healer and didnt manage to kill the boss on my first floor 7 run with suboptimal powers. Got it to 5% on my last try though. It shouldnt be farm able, but definitely felt overly oppressive with the tunings.

Healers got the biggest change because they got the solo difficulty increase and the regular mob buff.

But a 7 should be hard. That’s almost the highest difficulty we are going to have for the next 6 months.

It’s not that I couldn’t do it, it’s that it’s no longer fun and takes twice the time.

I was solo clearing level 6 without too much trouble so long as you don’t yolo ignore mechanics.

Haven’t even tried 7 yet.

Obviously, fun is subjective.

On runs where I get some good anima powers it can a blast, but it can be tedious when you have a string of bad choices.

Luckily with the Maw upgrades, there are less bad choices to have to make.

Just stop. It’s overtuned. It’s not about being “on farm,” it’s about it being playable and reasonably challenging.

For Christ’s sake, stop kissing dev behind and acknowledge they made a mistake.

The guy just said he did a 6 this week. 6 out of 8 total levels, a little over 3 weeks into the x-pack.

Why is it hard to believe they don’t want it to be easy at this point?

This isn’t time gating, it’s difficulty gating.

I agree that it was too easy for tanks, maybe a tad bit, as i did all layers as prot pally no problem. However seeing the changes this week I ran layer 7 as ret and had no problems, just one avoidable stupid death. I choose powers I think I need and I use all the spells at my disposal, change talents when I can and I dont yolo pull everything. Layer 7 as ret ilvl 185 took me 50 minutes and i never once hit a wall.

I also went out of my way to clear absolutely every floor 100%

Fun for you maybe. Not for the majority of every one else. Now you join us after you mocked us.

I agree with you. Fun (from my subjective standpoint) is using new abilities and feeling a bit powerful.

Then nobody should yet is the point. Class imbalance, the killer of wow since vanilla.

It’s easy to feel powerful on the lower difficulties. It’s when you push the higher levels that the powers bring you on par to where we need to be.

We don’t even have all of covenant conduits unlocked yet, so there are weeks left until we grow into our full power outside torghast.

Then why release it now?

Because some players like the challenge of pushing content and will get it done early.

Probably the same tier of players that ran M+15s on the week they were released.

7s and 8s should be a huge challenge at 176ilvl considering we won’t get any more Torghast layers until next tier (I assume). At 176 ilvl you’re not even using m0-level gear. I don’t see the problem here.

I did a 6 this morning, and it was definitely challenging. I don’t know if I will be able to get through a 7 or 8 yet. Maybe, maybe not. If I can’t, I can’t. I just need more gear.

I think the problem is that people are forgetting this is similar to visions. You didn’t go into visions expecting to 5-mask that thing (or even do a full clear) in suboptimal gear, and there is still a lot of gearing to do in this patch.

That said, those guys that pop up are too numerous, and they are way overtuned (at least in layer 6). They were more difficult than most of the elites I faced in that place. They nearly one-shot my pet. I really wish they were dialed back or disabled completely. At the very least, they should stop coming when you kill the main boss on the floor.

As a whole, I enjoy it. I have had a few bad runs, but the great runs make up for it.

I don’t know about you, but I’m not a fan of spending an hour of my time just to die on the boss because I wasn’t getting lucky with powers and have nothing to show for the time investment

At least if I spend an hour dying to a raid boss over and over, we still got practice on the mechanics for future attempts. The mechanics in Torghast are so simple there’s nothing really to practice.
