Torghast timer

i’m not making this thread to say whether they’re right or wrong. most people already know it’s a stupid idea, with a lie as the justification for it. what i am doing is telling you the truth about what’s going to happen if they don’t implement timers.

take a moment to remember back to WoD real quick. for all intents and purposes, they were not going to include flying at all in WoD, or going forward in expansions. mass community backlash got them to change that plan.

fastforward to legion, the peak of high elf demand was finally reached, constantly questions over adding high elves as playable. you could tell that hazzikostas was getting more and more frustrated with the begging.

now in both of these instances, blizzard acquiesced. but in both of these instances, there was a spiteful consequence brought about.

in hazzikostas’ spite, we got pathfinder. we wanted to fly, we can, but we have to suffer a bit first. in hazzikostas’ spite, we got alliance thalassian elves, but they’re purple.

this is what will happen if they relent on timers in torghast. there will be some form of petty, spiteful biteback at the community for not allowing them to do things their way. increase in cost for the keys to get in, less time you can spend in the maw itself, reduced amount of legendary materials maybe.

it’s hard to guess what hazzikostas’ spite will manifest as, but i promise you that it will manifest as something.

Don’t equate the high elven outrage to the non flying outrage.

They aren’t even in the same ballpark.

of course not, but it was a constantly droning complaint and grew loudest in legion.

and then you see the full display of their spite in void elves. an entire race dedicated to petty, spiteful biteback. it’s impressive honestly, to harbor that much pettiness.

I see some pettiness for sure. Just not in the way you are describing.

how else can pathfinder and void elves be described, other than spite?

you like doing X, someone changes X to X 2, you ask for X back and then instead they give you X.5 as “compromise”.

that is spite.

Concerning void elves only…they were asking for a Horde race to be copied and pasted over to the Alliance. That had no chance of happening. That shouldn’t happen.

So they gave them something close as a compromise. Thats how compromises work. You get something close.

pandaren.

it’s spite.

Pandas were not a race given to one side only, then copied and pasted to the other.

I feel like at this point calling things “spite” is pretty spiteful itself.

no, people were asking specifically for the ideology and looks of the silver covenant.

instead, they got given some purple lore-abomination(which absolutely destroys their argument for population dictating whether something is playable).

that is spite, not compromise. compromise would have been giving exactly what was asked for, because it is different ideologically and somewhat physically.

Which just so happen to look exactly like blood elves. Crazy.

not exactly, since the eyes are different.

the ideology being different is all that matters though. just like with pandaren, the ideologies are the only real difference.

And this kind of childish crap is why I haven’t preordered. It’s about damn time they start earning some money so I’ve cancelled my sub which expires in three months, plenty of time for them to convince me why I should keep playing.
