During Castle Nathria, the max torghast layer 8 was recommended ilvl of 195 which was just under Normal Castle Nathria ilvl.
Now Layer 12 is recommended ilvl of 252 which is full Mythic Castle Nathria gear.
The torghast runs feel like shizz and just arent fun. Elites with 1 million health is WAYY too much.
Drop the ilvl recommendation and difficulty for Layer 12 to 226 or 223 to be below Sanctum Normal gear.
This is the kind of shizz that makes ppl stop subbing.

It’s a suggestion, not a rule.
Why? Level 12 is meant to be hard. Its not meant to be cleared the first week its available. Its something for people to work towards.
Why do you just want to be handed easy content with no challange? You dont need to clear floor 12. Everything you need you can do by clearing floor 9 or 10.
Wait, people unsub because they have to get gear to do certain content in the game?
If that’s true…I highly recommend those people unsub.

I guess experiences vary, but Blizzard does an awesome job of tiered difficulty progression
The transition from minimal mechanics in normal dungeons/lfr to slight more in Normal dungeon/raids, and more mechanics in heroic dungeons/raids, to full mechanics in mythic difficulty
If you can’t take the time to learn in that process, I’m not sure what else Blizz could do for you
they probably made it high because people would go in at the suggested ilvl, fail because they’re bad, then whine about it.
That is exactly what happened in 9.0 before they returned the place

I know it’s really really hard to see the shiny sitting there and not be able to touch it, but it’s something to work towards.
But the 11 is a serious PITA if you try and force it. And with the boss health not resetting, you can force it. Not so sure that’s a good idea but not sure what a better solution would be either.
Layer 12 will be cleared next week by sub 230 ilvl characters. You might not 5 star it and you might die a couple of times but who cares about that.
Oh for sure. but i expect to see a flood of posts of people in 210 ilevel complaining about not being able to beat it.

I doubt it, if you can 4 star layer 11 (to unlock 12) you can complete 12 when it opens.
If they cant 4 star an 11 they would already be complaining.
I 4-starred Layer 10 this week on my alt at ilvl 196. Solo run.

im sure its still doable with like 233 ilvl. its not a rule.
I feel like they taking it too far a little, originally Torghast was fun, become OP with powers, was like a little side dungeon, but this patch, the new layers are ridiculously harder then previously, while I do like a challenge, I think Torghast does need to be tuned a little lower.
Problem is not many people now days are not raiding or pumping m+.
No. If the content is too hard for you solo then group up.
Not all content should be an easy faceroll. It’s meant to be something you work to get better at. Why do you think the box of many things exists?
I mean… does it matter? Upgraded leggo armor is so stupidly expensive right now that I can just run 9’s for the next few weeks and still get everything i need out of there.
It’s true, legendaries are expensive…
But you can have enough Soul Cinders next week for a rank 6 without ever doing a rank 12
