Torghast no longer requires KEYS!

This is extremely good. Thanks Blizz.

Bring back vengeance.

That’s cool I guess, but it still doesn’t drop anything worth while.

No gear rewards was probably a bad call for this thing.

Perhaps you can just have fun with something and not require a massive heap of gold at the end for it to be worth doing

The whole point of this game is loot.

Acquiring gear is a major part of said ‘fun’. To have Torghast, one of the main draws of Shadowlands, be devoid of gear rewards is just asinine.

I find this really good. so if all the other stuff is kinda meh, I can at least live in Torghast if I enjoy it.

Torghast has been dropping Legendary pieces all throughout alpha.

who cares if the rewards are good if the content isn’t fun?

The gear rewards at the end of said content is what ties all this together.

I will say it once again, the whole point of this game is acquiring loot and upgrading your gear. Gear will always be tied to the ‘fun’ because of that simple fact.

So to answer your question?
“Who cares?”
pretty much everybody.

No one’s arguing that but again, if the content isn’t fun then you’re probably the first one that’ll go “Oh X is a chore, I hate doing this, I quit” or whatever. Enjoyable gameplay is the foundation, not the other way around.

You play the game to have loot to play the game to have loot? Yeah, how fun.

Its ok without loot, if its fun, its fun, thats the point of a game

You seem to be.

I’ll be the first to say, “This content is unrewarding” and quit.

You can’t have one without the other. Good content + loot = ‘fun’.

This is a quality-of-life change, not really a game-changer. It’s a good change, don’t get me wrong, it minimizes a lot of the headache you’d experience if you get DC’d while trying to collect your legendary mats, but ultimately the assumption has always been that if you have the time to do it, you will cap your legendary mats each week.

In Shadowlands, each week you will be expected to grind X amount of hours of Torghast to cap your legendary grind, and Y amount of hours on World Quests to cap your Renown grind. This has simply take out the process of needing to receive keys from your weekly cache and perform well enough in Torghast to cap your legendary grind on the free keys you receive (or else do extra world quest dailies to get extra keys).

Fun is subjective. What you find fun, isn’t everybody’s fun. What i find fun, isn’t everybody’s fun.

Well you are very much so mistaken. You can have fun without requiring any loot. If you only derive fun out of getting loot at the end and nothing before it, you’re not enjoying the game.

No, you refuse to understand that the idea of fun can differ for people. Take your mindless gear, I’ll have fun. I can get gear a million other ways as well, plus any loot you need from torghast is on the first few floors accessible by everyone without punishment for failure.

“He went on to further elaborate that they’ll figure out how to rebalance rewards around this unlimited access, and avoid players feeling encouraged to endlessly grind the activity for rewards.”

Did anyone else read this as “we’ll figure it out later”? That doesn’t sound encouraging, to me.

And you refuse to compromise and understand that we can have both.

You seem to want to simply shut down my concerns and repeat “fun is subjective” as if that satisfies the issue at hand instead of talking about keeping things enjoyable for all parties involved.

Dude you already have good rewards attached to torghast, removing keys is adding more fun to the game since you won’t have so many chores to get keys before hand. What do you not understand?

What don’t you understand? It only drops legendaries, not actual progression loot from what I understand.

You are so hellbent on shutting me down and moving on. You aren’t even arguing at this point. You are just telling me to shut up, basically.
