Torghast, Mage Tower 2.0 or Endless Time Sink?

Yup I see the exact same thing. I don’t represent everyone, but one thing I HATE about current WoW is that it is endless. I don’t want endless mythic difficulty, I don’t want endless combinations of loot like titanforging. It diminishes the reward, ESPECIALLY since all of this is wiped out next expansion. Why would I kill myself for 2 years trying to get an impossible goal when it all becomes useless?

I honestly just see more of the same. They are not even being sneaky about it. They are trying their hardest to minimise the production of content, and maximize the timesink for it to get you to keep playing. Some may say WoW was always like this, but I strongly disagree. I did not even like it when Heroic was introduced, let alone all these seventy million difficulty and loot combination combos now.

If the legendary materials are gained from the tower, what possible advantage is there to go solo? Why not go in with 5 people and bang out what you need as fast as possible? (That is aside from not finding 4 other people to help)

I don’t see why it has to be an either-or situation.

It’s basically Diablo (or Island Expeditions) with infinite progression, but if they decide to stick some truly unique and time limited rewards for particularly unique and epic challenges in some parts of it, accessible only on solo basis… there really wouldn’t be much of a difference, no?

If you get the legendaries that you want, couldn’t you just not do the tower anymore? What’s making it endless? I need more info before I can have an opinion on it. Hopefully the deep dive will shed some more light.
