I tend to suck at this one, i go as a boomchicken and I can’t solo it… Anyway to git gud at this talents rotation etc?
What last boss did RNGesus give you? Or are you having problem with all the floors?
I’m having problems, with all 4 layers… I can’t seem to solo it by myself. I’d like too instead of having other people do it for me.
Just did this on my Druid, finally getting around to getting it done. He’s higher ilvl then you so did find layer 4 pretty smooth.
You may want to swap out stellar flare for drift. Alternatively you could go the more ST route with twin moons and star lord, that’s the way I went.
I haven’t done this yet but i imagine treants (Force of Nature) would be very useful.
As far as anima powers go, get ones that boost star surge and rejuvenate, also the dmg increase while you convoke one, stack if possible. Get some defensive ones too. Get mastery powers too.
You can also use entangle for the elite mobs and the dmg while entangle powers. Can kite mobs with entangle and whittle them down.
Rejuvenate + Swiftmend are your friends, and use typhoon as an additional interrupt or push mobs away while you heal up.
On floor bosses and final boss, remember to pool AP, CA, Starsurge x 3, Convoke that should bring the boss down close to death, on layer 4.
Good luck
Are you having trouble with Mort’regar? If so, try Coldheart Interstitia instead. It’s a lot easier for some reason.
Mort’regar drops black puddles of death that scales with its torment.
Coldheart is a lot more laid back… except for the Edgy Kyrians drops saying “Hi” and knock you around like you’re a ball or something.
Yeah, the worst part about doing CI was having to interrupt the Agents when they cast terror.
Funny story about CI. My Prot Pally friend really likes to pull en masse… including the Elite Owls that ENRAGE when you move and sometimes I get one shot by a stomp because of it enough times that we spawned a Tarragrue.
I told him to stop at Agent and they are at top priority after losing a total of 4 lives thanks to them. So that got covered.
And then on the 5th floor, we spawned a Tarragrue… It was a buggy run too as the Grue pursued my friend on top of the platform and his Unnatural Power reset. I kept slowing him and slowing him and slowing him in circles while I bought my friend time to kill the Empowered Floor Mob. After that, I raced to the next floor and the Grue was approaching… fast.
We proceeded to the next floor and killed the boss as if nothing happened. This is a tale of my Venthyr DK and a Kyrian Paladin ventured through CI Layer 8.
EDIT: You know you kinda miss PoE when you read Coldheart Interstitia as Chaos Inoculation.
That whole wing - black puddles of death everywhere. Thankfully halfway through floor 1 last run I got a blue perk that turn them all into healing puddles. Best perk ever - except maybe the one that adds 100% health to my blueberry every time I change floors. Having a 200k+ void tank is handy as hell as well. ![]()
I made it to the 4th floor boss in Soulforge and can’t do any damage to him. Is it immune to shadow damage?? He heals himself too. Is there a trick to this?
Nobody’s done layer 4 in Soulforge?
Bosses are random. Which boss was it?
Oh. hmm. No idea what his name was. None of my spells or whatever I threw at him had barely any effect. I cleared all the other floors without too much trouble.
So if I go again, may avoid that particular boss then. That’s good to know.
When you get to the 3rd floor broker, you get a preview of the boss you’re fighting on the 6th floor. You can then go to wowhead’s Torghast overview page, and there’s a link to the boss previews – you can then check comments if its a boss you haven’t faced before, and see what you’re in for.
