Torghast in 10.0

What if Torghast fell into Icecrown and was continued for 10.0 and actually dropped loot like dungeons.

Would you play?

I’d like to never see Torghast again after SL.

As a solo gearing path I wouldnt mind. I found anima powers to be cool. Just wish we had more mob diversity and scenery. The game mode is nice. The rewards could be better. Islands had decent rewards. If torgast gave something in weekly vault I think it would have been a good solo progression system.

RN its just farming it for legendary reagents (not even the full legendary and a currency to socket some pieces of gear).

it is very difficult for blizzards to understand why everyone liked horrific visions and did not like expeditions and torgast (spoiler if the developer
really doesn’t understand - the challenge and an adequate weekly reward for passing in the form of gear max ilvl and not the obligatory long grind of the currency)

Nope. Really wouldn’t make sense if it dropped, it could probably destroy Azeroth if it did. But, no they should never bring it back and implement a boss rush mode instead and update it in every patch.

I’d run it alot more if the rewards were there.
I’ve found myself just stealthing through it and smashing the bosses on my rogue just because since the rewards aren’t there it feels like a waste of time to slog through the trash when all I’m after is the reward for finishing the run.

I hated visions and like Torghast but would prefer more diversity in layout and rewards like islands/visions.

you like torghast and havent flawless master after 1 year patch.
how competent is your review and comparisons?))apparently you are a collector or play a little and you like everything that you see for the first time, while even within the patch you do not see even 50 percent of the high-end content even within one addon patch at the actual time.so it’s too early to judge the high-end gameplay component

I just came back after taking a break for the entirety of the recent patch. So like, since June or before. And this wasn’t my main in 9.0. But it’s good to see the community is toxic as ever.

I wanna carpet bomb the place.

If torg dropped loot, similar to how visions did; it would be a lot better

That being said, the core design of “kill mobs for half an hour and one shot the last boss” isn’t fun. I haven’t tested the new 9.2 boss rush torg, hopefully it’s a little more tolerable.

Let’s not go crazy now.

Horrific visions, with their obnoxious entrance fee, or the tree you almost had to complete in order to truly participate in?

It wasn’t all sunshine and roses back then either.

At least Torghast ditched the entrance fee, but then they forced us to do it week over week, per toon.

I just hope their 10.0 system doesn’t have an entrance fee and isn’t “required”. Otherwise it will just be DoA.

I think people’s patience is wearing thin. It isn’t as if we don’t give this feedback over and over and over and over and over again.

the only problem with the visions is the restriction on attempts in the form of a grind currency for entry.
torgast doesn’t have this problem because he himself has become a mandatory grind and timegate for getting a legendary. It doesn’t make any sense anymore
what is better than a restriction on attempts and a worthy reward for successful completion or the ability to go a hundred times and consistently not receive any reward))

  1. instead of learning how everything works and the design of game systems.Go to the forum and type nonsense.
  2. when they point out your incompetence to you, you say that he is toxic
  3. in the eyes of hamsters you are a good guy.

Perhaps in order to make a proposal on game systems, you first need to study how everything works. In order not to spread misinformation that others can pick up and make the game worse in the end. Try to comprehend something next time and not hide behind someone else’s toxicity

I’ve got to say that I agree…he was just pointing out that you “like a game mode” that you’ve barely played. It wasn’t toxic at all.

Facts about comparing visions and torghast
Visions - at the start, a well-balanced challenge with progress in mode and decent rewards at the beginning of the patch. In the middle and end of the patch with a fully upgraded tree, a good way to get a high reward once a week.
Torghast is a boring grind only needed for the timegate to get a legendary item. In the middle and end of the patch, absolutely useless grind for getting a second legendary item or for alts.

Yeah, I would.

I think one of the failings of Torghast, besides not being infinite and also being time gated, was that it didn’t have enough rewards. The unique abilities and builds were very fun, but I think they could have done more with it.

I like Torghast. So yes, I would.

I would play most forms of content added to the game; that doesn’t mean I think Torghast is the direction I’d want them to go. Torghast is not really evergreen enough. If we were to get a “Forever Torghast”, I would hope the flavor is more “Core Warcraft”.

Think Exile’s Reach in terms of flavor.

I’d like Torghast if it became another way to level and gear alts.
