To the advice of others i’ve ventured into Torghast for reknown, im currently Reknown 71.
ive now done 3, count it THREE level 9 runs in a row in the lasst hour. Zero Reknown.
That’s my last run. 3 strikes you’re out. Good system though, GG 0/10
Callings. Heck if you need gear I would even suggest dungeon over torghast

I don’t remember actively grinding renown, I just sort of passively got 78-80

I dont need gear i want to be reknown 80 so i can start playing an Alt, one week back into the game and i’m already sick of the grind. Al;l callings done, Campaign 100%. Nothing to do to get my reknown up. My heroic dungeon run Reknown “Drop rate” i gues? is about 50% and that seems to be the only thing that’s given me reknown now.
It might be slower in korthia than what you want but what’s stopping you from gearing him before 80?

The drop rate is dynamic. It’s high when your renown is low and lower when your renown is high.

How is it a grind? Callings, dungeons, Torghast, campaign, weeklies, world bosses all throw renown at you.
Have you finished the two weeklies?
like DUDE, my campaing is 100% Pre 9.2 ive done Slyv raid. Ive done literallyh everything. What is the point in making this RNG and delaying it further. there isn’t any

Torghast is a very unsatisfying way to gain renown, imo. I experienced similar…but didn’t give up, it was the best method I could come up with at that time.
Fortunately for you, comp stomp is tomorrow! Win 4 min games, get exalted with the defilers or alliance equivalent, get a ton of honor…and get renown from a large portion of those 4 min wins!
If you can put a couple of hours aside, you will hit cap–even starting off low. I believe in you!

Have you finished all of Chains of Domination? If so, then it sounds like you may need to wait for Comp Stomp and run Callings. Also keep in mind that once you hit 78, you will need to make sure the two weeklies are done before the game will let you hit 80.
Yes i have, all quests are done.
I know your feel, there’s not a way to just smash your time on some deterministic grind for renown, you can do your weekly and callings if you’ve some in the backlog and then log out, do it next week but there’s players that want to smash and grind it on some instances runs.
Comp Stopm starts tomorrow but it’s not 100% renown per run but at least its easier and faster.
NP. It is significantly faster than any other method and I do hope you take advantage. I was able to get 3 covenants from 40-80 last time it was up (between 2 chars). The 4th has been waiting till this week!
And before you do, as I am sure you did this week, get those world boss kills in. Maybe the anima as you win. Korthia is…worth it if you need. Otherwise also much slower than the comp stomp wins. Same for the assaults.
NGL, comp stomp is not pure bliss. But you get so much out of it at once, the value is there. (imo)
