Completely disagree, no such thing as a flavor of the month anything anymore, every class , prot paladin included, has been dumbed down to to be as easy to play as possible. Using the term FOTM is just something people do to try to elevate themselves above others in an attempt to attribute their increased performance to personal skill rather than the class. Its almost always the class driving the results not the player.
Its why Blizzard constantly tunes things based on macro feedback and the tuning works.
People who switch classes based on the meta are some of the most skilled players in the game.
