What do you think was the best iteration of ret overall? And if you could select part of each expansion to merge to create the best iteration what would it be (considering pvp mainly here)
mop ret was my favorite ret itteration if I could select parts of each expansion Id bring back Seals and the 3 different judgments from wotlk while keeping everything from mop including holy power which I think is one of the best things they added to ret in cata. I think it gave the spec more identity. Removing seals was one of the biggest mistakes they made with ret. Though id want seal of blood from bc for mages id be happy with any. I just wish they kept seals.
I really liked the 20yd divine storm tornado and wouldnt mind keeping that from legion. Consecrate and hammer of wrath I wish were baseline. I did actually enjoy divine hammer even though i didnt like legion ret very much. It gave us really good options for aoe. I don’t think divine hammer was healhy for pvp though. I wish exorcism was back instead of blade of justice. I also think ret should get a magic dispel and sac back as seperate spells. I also would bring back talent trees but thats more game design then ret design.

are you going to stream any m+? as far as PVE that’s where the real skill cap is for ret imo.
ye il def be streaming mythic plus. The skill is more mythic raiding though

Thoughts on comps for this season? Currently most likely to play ret/rogue or cupid (with disc). Also have th3r option to run ret/war/rdru, but that has our disc and rog/hjnter change roles.

I mainly do BG’s and dabble in Warmode/WPvP. About a month ago or so I went from the Haste build to the Mastery build. Now for a moment it seemed like my damage picked up a little, but lately it seems like it’s went a little down now. I wonder if it may be due to the new Heart of Azeroth Traits/Abilities we get, because I’m using the Ripple In Space one (which is great at throwing off your opponents in terms of survival or even a small gap closer.)
Should I be getting back into the Haste build for the overall damage and not the damage I would do up front? Or should I be talenting a specific way and to change out the neck trait?
id aim for a minimal of around 15% haste if ur lower or high a little its not a big deal its more personel prefrence and itt just feels better. STacking mastery gives u more burst on your goes which is why people stack it most likely the best option. Stacking verse is also a decent option for survivability. I wouldnt use ripple as its not worth it. Id pop on my stream to find out about best essence as its not set in stone/situational
I felt the Ripple was also giving me a significant damage loss so I switched to Blood of the Enemy since I just got it earlier. Seems fairly decent for now. Ripple felt like it was nothing more than just a gimmicky way to get out of a tight spot or if you get good at timing it for knocks backs. Considering we’re meant to help with utility and on burst damage support in teamplay Ripple has nothing of value.
I appreciate the advice, I’ll stick with the Mastery I had a couple good games in there a bit ago, especially with switching back to a DPS gained ability for the Heart of Azeroth. I’ll come check out your stream tonight if you’ll be on and give a shoutout. Cheers mane!

What is the optimal setting. I know I missing a few BiS gear and such, but I feel like talents are pretty easy to change and go from there.
