Which 3 classes/specs would you say are proving most in demand or dominate
I forget what its called but pretty sure there’s a website with all the classes ranked from best to worst in terms of numbers. Had a bar graph and all. wowlogs?

Top dps changes allllllll the time.
However, Mage, Warlock, and Rogue are all very safe bets to be top 5 dps at almost any given moment.

demon hunter has been pretty disgustingly dominant for a while now in all content
mage and rogue are both very safe bets
I cant think of any time in the last decade a mage or rogue spec wasn’t super strong
Warlock has its ups and downs but is typically safe and you’ll always get invites based on lockrocks/summons/gateway alone
hunter is pretty frequently good
shamans and druids are typically bad but enhance is rarely really really good at single target and moonkin is rarely really high cleave
spriests have historically been low burst bad aoe but solid execute
tldr dh>mage=rogue>any pure dps class>>>>>most hybrids is a good rule of thumb that proves timelessly accurate

is shadow priest a dangerous gamble? I have a mage but I find the rotation bland in comparison to shadow where I have windows of awesomeness that I have to constantly track. but I don’t wanna put the full on time into maining it if its not a very safe bet and it ends up taking a dive and im forced to heal 100% of the time
All three specs of mage are on the low end of DPS for BDA.
Elemental is currently strong, as is Balance Druid.

Only problem with Shadow is that it’s Priests only dps spec. I do believe its in a good place right now, but of things go sour (common for shadow) you don’t have a choice if you don’t want to heal as a Priest.
A shadow priest will always be a gamble over a class like Warlock or Mage, if shadow priest gets nerfed it has no other DPS spec to fall of.
Meanwhile Locks and Mages got 3.

Currently top for raids are spriest warlocks mages and rogues.
Def not DK or BM hunter LOL
I wouldn’t go shadow if you want a “safe” bet for your main.
All shadow has going for it is great DPS in a raid where the fights really favor the multi-dot style… If Blizzard nerfs the DPS because of how strong it shows in BFD logs then shadow is instantly trash tier.
And for M+ shadow again does good damage but not as insane as others, and the single target is not too good there (you either spec for ST or for AOE)… But the real downside from shadow priest in Dungeons is that it brings almost nothing useful in terms of utility.

ya ive noticed that the utility for shadow is rather lacking which I find odd as I would feel like priest should bring a good amount of utility considering the class. my mage and priest are at the same level currently and although I feel mage is more of a safer choice I just find shadow priest to be more engaging and fun. however the fact that if it ever got a big enough nerf id be pretty much irrelevant and have to start healing or suffer with the dps loss. makes the choice more difficult. and I feel like priests mogs look cooler. I feel like mage only gets recolors of their other older stuff.
This feels like weirdly outdated information.
In a raid setting, DHs are no where near dominating. Good, sure. But dominating?
Elemental right now is better than enhance at single target.

demo is really good, but should i HAVE to switch a spec ive played 10+ years just to be viable in what i wanna do? sux
yet destro is good in raid (single tar over more aoe damage of m+)
maybe its just gotten too hard to balance ALL classes over the years…

Do people really think mages are a top damage class in the current raid? I wonder if those people realize all 3 mage specs are at the bottom. Aka overall probably the worst dps class in the current raid overall.
with your 407 ilvl where do you sit on meters in raid
Warlock always has a spec that’s top of the leaderboard.
Mages sit near the bottom in mythic raid logs. I vary depending on how others are playing but if a warlock parses 75% and I parse 90% the warlock will be higher than me on meters. There is a massive difference.
