Top 5 Disc Priests are all Nelf - why?

The top 5 Disc Priests on Murlok are all Night Elves. Is Shadow Meld that strong? Or is there some other racial involved I’m missing?

Meld is another means of avoiding cc/burst.

Probably also the only way to really get a decent drink off in this meta.

Thanks, all. Trying to see if I should swap my Velf over to a Nelf for any real material reason, but my Disc priest just got full honor gear so I’m a ways off from it really mattering.

Would be a nelf shaman if I could. I pray we’re next now that warlocks got them.

The thing you’ve got to remember with racial abilities like shadow meld is that they don’t have a ton of “passive” value. Well, you can meld when getting bursted to take a bit of the edge off, but a lot of its power comes from restealths or dodging stuff.

Paladins and Shaman are probably the next up as they seem to be the least resource/asset-intensive. Paladin is just the charger and Shaman is just racial totems.

Nelf Pala with a sort of lightforged nightsaber gonna be cool. :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated:

You need to be nelf for your bot to work.

As soon as we get nelf they’re going to nerf or remove Meld.

No idea what this means.

Don’t worry about it. :dracthyr_heart: Go nelf if you want to, it’s good, fun and pretty.

Depending on your xmog, you can AOE CC the other team.

Meaning that, because I have T3, they’ll alt-tab and make rant posts on the forums?

Oh, I meant depending on their nelf xmog.

Oh now I get it. Sorry, lazy Sunday.

People meld to immune cc with travel times like stormbolt and axe toss.

It’s the flips, pure and simple.

Vulpera also have flips.

Seeing how sometimes It can take 45 seconds to drop combat to drink while afk behind a pillar not taking damage, it’s the ONLY way I get to drink.

Meld for mana. Top 5 are likely playing games that make few mistakes and lead into dampening. Getting a drink over you’re opponent could be the difference needed to keep your team more offensive when it matters. But it definitely doesn’t matter for most players.
