This thread tells me that I do not watch enough movies.

Mines less of a top 10 and more of ā€œ10 movies I remember really likingā€.

  • LotR trilogy
  • The Gentlemen
  • Spiderman No Way Home
  • John Wick
  • Mad Max Fury Road
  • Holes
  • Joker
  • Hot Fuzz
  • Pirates of the Caribbean
  • Little Nicky (I got a soft spot for most mid 90s to early 2000s Adam Sandler movies, this slot is interchangable with Waterboy, Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison)

Edit: Some movies I forgot thatā€™d probably push others off the list.

  • The Dark Knight
  • Fight Club
  • Into the Spiderverse
  • Nightmare of the Wolf (the Witcher)

Iā€™ll put a bit more effort. In no order:

The Bluesbrothers.
Hamlet by Kenneth Branagh.
The Princess Bride.
Irma la Douce.
The Sound of Music.
Ran.
Brigadoon.
The Devilā€™s Brother.
The Princess Mononoke (and anything by the great Hayao Miyasaki).
The Treasure (awesome Egyptian movie, split in 2 for length - so awesome that I watched part 2 in Arab with no subtitles, as they arenā€™t available yet).

BONUS:
The 6 LOTR/Hobbit movies.

There are just so many Movies and TV Shows that are goodā€¦ like some of the others Iā€™ve seen have said: Iā€™d need like a Top 100 to even get half of my favorites in there, but here goes a few - in no particular order:

Goodfellas
A Knightā€™s Tale
Gladiator
Forrest Gump
Fight Club
Tombstone
Seven
Frailty
Wyatt Earp
Gran Torino
Inside Man
Twister
Memento
The Matrix
Unforgiven
Idiocracy ā† This one is looking more like a Documentary these daysā€¦
Sicario
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
In the Heat of the Night
The Hobbit Trilogy
Heat
Airplane!
Mystic River
2001: A Space Odyssey
Legends of the Fall
The Princess Bride
Pulp Fiction
Shawshank Redemption
The Village
Down Periscope
Contact
The Usual Suspects
A Bronx Tale
True Romance
Near Dark
Full Metal Jacket
The Breakfast Club
The Illusionist
The Edge of Tomorrow <---- You get to watch Tom Cruise die over and over again

As for Television shows?

----> Yellowstone <----

If you have not watched it, I suggest you give it a look. Every episode I say that they canā€™t make the show any better than it is, and every episode they prove me wrong. There is currently one spin off, an origin story of sorts- 1883 and itā€™s looking good so far. I canā€™t wait until they release the other spin off, 6666 - if itā€™s anything like the others, itā€™s going to be a good one.

Some movies I really enjoy, and can watch a million times - but I would not call them cinematic wonderment :

Dark Shadows - I can watch Eva Green in anything, but she is particularly great in that. The music is great too.

Kill Bill - the music, and the action is fun

Star Wars - I can put it on while baby sitting a niece or nephew. And they enjoy it too.

Goldfinger - the best Bond movie.

On the other hand, there are great movies I only saw once, and never want to see again, because maybe it was just too long, or too emotionally draining, or too grotesque and disturbingā€¦ but they are great films that leave an impact.

Carlitoā€™s Way - it is an awesome movie. But I donā€™t want to watch it more than once every 5 years or so. It is a bit heavy.

Schindlerā€™s List - great film. Just not something I want to put on in the background while Iā€™m cleaning up the house or catching up on my mail.

Memento - a fine movie. A few viewings was enough. Carrie-Anne Moss was so good, I almost canā€™t see Trinity in the Matrix, because I think of Natalie.

Blood in Blood out - a fine movie. But some parts can getā€¦ a bit graphic.

Itā€™s too hard. I could never list my top 10 movies because then Iā€™d forget something and remember it later. Too many good moviesā€¦ and way too many not so good movies.

Just looking through the list of other people posting theirsā€¦ top 10 is impossible!
