Feral is getting a big nerf. Wait and see.
This is the first I’ve heard of it. What if the system puts you into the wrong spec? Like if you’re questing as shadow and get put into holy instead of disc?
My prediction: “Where’s my High Elves?”

extended downtime, blah blah blah, its my day off, blizzard should reimburse us.
and specifically:
Lore:
" * When the next Mythic+ season starts, and item levels increase, the item levels of Thaumaturge Vashreen’s wares will increase accordingly."
They’ve told us straight out they intend to increase the item levels as things progress. (M+ seasons correlate to new raid tiers, so we’ll see the items increase with the new raid launch in January).
I’m getting mine in early.
New island expeditions and warfronts, but no new dungeons.
Look, I’m sure there’s a group that like island expeditions and warfronts. And, if so, they should exist. But they’re not better content than raids or even dungeons.
Please, please, please… some more dungeons.
Also, the new armor vendor isn’t brilliant. I (and I’m assuming others too) wanted an armor vendor because we were sick of RNG. To bake RNG into that vendor, Diablo II-style, feels pretty terrible… a bit of a slap in the face.
And yes, I know it is possible to purchase specific armor. But you have to have ridiculous amounts of the required currency (compared to armor vendors in, say, WotLK).
Why is Blizz so stuck on this and other issues? Why do they feel incapable of giving players game features or changes to game features that they’ve asked for? Aarrgghh!!
Ion himself said it was completely lopsided though
The real patch is still 1 month away… that’s the real 8.1 content the rest is like 1-2 hour content, except island expeditions those might or might not still drain the hell out of hope with the slot machine gameplay.
“my key got deleted”
“this sucks there’s nothing more to do except wait for january”
“250 expulsoms for one piece of gear wtf?!”
“there’s barely any keys left for the week-end!”
“this game is dead, barely any mythic+groups showing up”
“where’s asmongold?”
“class changes suck! i hate changes!”
and then the few people happy with it all:
WHY ARE THERE STILL NO HIGH ELVES ON ALLIANCE BLIZZ??? Throws major temper tantrum while posting 5000 constantly used excuses for why they should be followed by 1000 new High Elf Now threads oh and ye olde…HORDE BIAS!!!
Oh and why can’t I make a Zandalri/Kul’tiran yet???
Why can’t I fly???
THAT’S IT I’M UNSUBBING!!! YOU WILL SEE BLIZZ I’M GOING TO DO IT NOW!!! I MEAN IT, I’M REALLY DOING IT THIS TIME…
Scrapped all the azerite pieces I have been saving and received zero currency!
you could farm badges in heroics, the “few weeks” comment is only when farming +10 mythics weekly. You get significantly less currency from lower keys and there is no other reliable way to get it.
What did they actually do? Other than give us stuff back they should’ve never taken out in the first place?
You will hear “Thanks blizz shamans still broken i’m done”…
And… “Darkshore is boring and the item levels are same as Arathi Warfront GJ blizz i’m done!”

We’ll see if static gear comes back in the next expansion. I doubt it.
Believe it or not, the RNG on gear offers up layers of game play that different people can do.
It lets a single gear system have wide applicability across the player base over and above the static gear system.
With the static gear system, you get the currency, you get the piece and…your done. That’s it. That’s all. Beyond an enchant or a gem, that’s as good as it’s going to get.
With the RNG system, that’s not the case at all.
You can get the piece, and be happy, and be done, just like before. I pretty much play like that. And by that, I mean, like in Argus, I spent time and focus grinding currency to get all of the 910 pieces from the vendor. At which point, I didn’t stop, but I didn’t focus on the currency as much. I was 910+ on the main gear pieces, I got the Relics for the artifact, and I was content.
After that, did I spend more currency on more gear? You bet I did. Why? Because I couldn’t spend it on anything that I really wanted, so I may as well try again on a piece of gear.
But in the end, I wasn’t initially concerned with what secondaries I got, I was simply concerned with trading out the 850 gear with the 910 gear.
Now, others, have more time than me, perhaps more motivation than me, so they were more willing to grind currency to fuel the RNG, hoping for better secondaries, or getting a *Forged piece of gear.
In the old system, folks wanting to do that – couldn’t. They were stuck. Stuck with class specific, but not spec specific gear. No chance on better iLevel. No chance on better secondaries. They is what they is. Read 'em and weep.
The new system? You have a chance. And it works not just on the vendor, but on world bosses, raid bosses, etc. This lets you quickly rise up to an effective iLevel and then, if you want, work the character to make it just that much better. More work, more RNG, more “better” gear.
The iLevel gear you get is designed to make you successful at the level of content you’re playing. That is, the gear you get will work for you. The RNG blips are bonus on top of that.
Now we have this currency system. By cheap RNG tickets for quick gear, or farm it up for that magic, specific piece. Your game play, your choice.
The RNG system is more versatile and gives you more options than the static system. If you feel “trapped” on an RNG treadmill, then call 1-800-GAMBLER and break that cycle. Don’t Do That. But if you want perhaps a little bit better gear for content you feel like doing anyway, for yourself, with your friends, whatever, then RNG is there to help.
Plus, now we get mats from the gear we can’t wear with the Scrap machine. Even better. A single piece of gear offers a bunch of different options.
“I already spent all week downloading the patch, so why do I have to download another 10 gigs to patch what the patch broke?”
There are no raids (for a month), and some specs literally didn’t change one iota.
This is hardly a major patch.
Why is there nothing for prot in pvp?
Some of us like to be hard to kill.
People say chasing tanks for 15 minutes to kill them isnt fun, trying to kill a healer isnt fun.
And in the 3v3 world tournament non tanks had to wait for the healing debuff to kick in to get kills anyway.
It is earned through your weekly cache and from salvaging Azerite pieces you’ve obtained post 8.1.
I mentioned this in my question for Ion, but this is such a huge problem and it makes the system far worse than it should be. Scrapping Azerite gear is going to be extremely difficult because if you’re doing organized raiding, you won’t be able to scrap gear because you’ll have to trade it off to other people within you guild.
