That drops at about 1/3rd the rate you used to be able to farm Mythic+ chest gear. The weekly chest is basically dead now.
I’m glad you’re keeping an eye on it, as is it sounds incredibly unrewarding given the 1/3 gearing rate. While intellectually I know that was probably the average upgrade hit rate previously, it doesn’t feel good to not even be able to roll on something that might be an upgrade for three weeks unless I DE gear.
Nighthold opened in January. Broken Shore opened in late March. Raids and World content are on different schedules.

8.1 385 gear will be at a “premium price” and its intended to take people a few weeks to earn it.
S2 gear will release at a “significantly higher” price – whats the intended timeframe here then? Double? Do you want more people to quit? -_-

Try balance or feral druid if you want to know what pain is. I don’t think the dev/management has any idea about how bad the dps is on these character types.

Say azerite gear dropped 1/3 of the time from the chest.
Current numbers show that in 3 weeks you’ll have enough currency to buy a random piece.
Under the old system, you would have gotten 3 pieces (2 non azerite/ 1 azerite).
Under the new system you get 4 pieces (3 non-azerite / 1azerite).
Except that’s not what they’ve said IIRC… the chest won’t have any gear AFAIK. It will have Titan Residuum, your keystone, and AP no gear.
It’ll still have the non azerite pieces. The azerite gear is the only thing that no longer drops from the cache.

Nah, you didn’t dig deep at all. (This was really just a silly thread and I was just saying the top complaints after the patch would be the same as before the patch.) Not your fault though, the new forums don’t really let you search the old ones. I’ve been the MVP most critical of Blizzard. Many posters wonder how the heck I still have my MVP status.
