Toon location after exiting Pacifist Rig - Alter Time-like effect

I am misremembering, but in the past when you exited the rig your didn’t your toon appear where the rig was when you exited? Seems like since they fixed the rig in a recent patch I am getting and alter time-like effect to where when I get booted from the rig I am back at where I was when I entered the rig. This is when the rig time expires and you get booted. I am not sure this occurs when exiting manually.

I have died a couple of times because I would get tossed into the rig just as a fire pool or whatnot would appear under me and the rig expired I would get tossed right back onto the location and then die as the hazard was still there.

The rig is remote controlled now, so you can see your character inside a bubble at the location you started controlling the rig. Which is awful, since sometimes you now exit the rig and just instantly die with no counterplay, but it is what it is.
