Tooltip Display Error

On every DragonFlight character I’ve been having issues with blank tooltip boxes of varying sizes displaying at random on my screen (only in retail, the issue is not appearing in Wrath classic).

I’ve uninstalled all add-ons, reset my WTF/Cache/Interface folders, and run the repair function on my game, but it’s getting to the point where I’m having trouble playing because it’s too distracting and appears to be interfering with my ability to click on my screen. Are there any fixes posted for this that I’ve missed?

Edit - I also can’t get any proper tooltips to display other than the spell info on my action bars. Highlighting people only pops up those random empty tooltips of varying size.

Edit 2 - Playing around with it a bit more and when I’m in edit mode I can get the tooltips to display properly, when I’m outside of edit mode the issue begins to re-appear. The target tooltip option seems to have no bearing on this when I enable / disable it.

I had the same exact issues and its driving me absolutely nuts. I have disabled and deleted all addons and even did a scan and repair and full uninstall and reinstall and it still is persisting.

I’ve encountered the same issue, though strangely enough my issue is caused by the addon outfitter, though the author says they can’t duplicate the issue.

Have you made any headway?
