Too much low quality armor/weapons

It’s my opinion after I decided to level an alt and continue transmog farming that there is just too much trash armor in the game.

A lot of the grey, green and blue armor is just bad looking. Also the armor gained by leveling and dungeon running doesn’t feel rewarding enough.

It seems this is done so that when you get raid or mythic sets that you feel cosmetically rewarded.

I can understand this to a degree but I’d like to point this out.

Blizzard you can keep players playing the game by actually making good content without the need to grind through hours of useless trash looking armors and weapons.

That’s right. You’ve even changed the Shadowlands gear to make it where if you want the cool looking set with effects you have to be a mythic raider.

In my opinion you don’t even need to have all the different raiding and dungeon types.

Instead of LFR, Regular, Heroic and Mythic of the same content you can spend that effort to make different content and it would make the game a lot more fun.

I’d rather have 20 different dungeons than 5 dungeons with 4 difficulties each.

Also you know you can up the standard of your armor and weapons… instead of having trash you can have decent looking sets and higher standard mythic sets.

Seriously it’s like hitting 1000 thrift stores and hoping for a Rolex.

Once again you can make good content without having your players wade through hours and hours or bags and bags of useless trash.

I hope more people will get behind this. I know Blizzard can do better.

what , you don’t like gear that has been reskinned to a slightly different shade of brown over 500 times ?

Of course not… and what is this “done with Tier Gear” thing I keep reading about?

Has the Dev Team stopped Tier Progression?

I’m just coming back at the end of BFA so I’m wondering what all this is about.

I’m just annoyed about it as you are. Yet, they had no problem removing nice-looking, moggable pieces like the pattern for the enchanted thorium set and the polychromatic chest piece from the game.

They should bring back the burning crusade clown suits IMO.

Not everyone wants to be a glowing anime character either, though

And the vanilla ones.

I really miss crazy colorful gear.

I actually prefer the calmer, humble armor over the crazy grandiose armors.

Even some newer gear the textures ingame end up just getting crusty older gear it gets even worse :frowning:

Still happen to have my BC character with untouched gear. It’s magical.

I’m using classic gear mixed with heritage. It looks better then a ton of other, more modern options. (hunters get the short straw, always)

Add a

to that mog and it would be perfect.

I mean, it kinda makes sense for the best looking gear to be harder to acquire. This is why raid and pvp gear looks better in general. This being said, I do not like the quality of dungeon gear in BfA, as most of it is just recolors of questing greens…

I agree, the best gear should be hard to get.

However, the quest gear you get could and should look cool too.

I think you can have levels of cosmetic content without having trashy looking stuff that no one will ever use.

I think its OK to have junk looking gear honestly, as long as that stuff is only given out by easy stuff. Plus, I’d much rather go back and run old raids and dungeons with only a chance to get these gear appearances than go back and play old quests for a guaranteed drop.

The soul of this game, and I daresay life in general exists on a rags-to-riches mentality. The potential of the thing, not the thing itself. There’s a reason the veterans of this game are so beholden to their journey. They’ve been in the muddy trenches with nothing to their name, when a single dude with a sweet set of clean pleated pants crosses their path.
