Too many microtansactions for a sub game

I feel like there are so many microtransactions being shoved in our faces this $50 see you later microtransaction bundle, a $25 dollar Fox mount, a holiday sale on many other mounts and pets.

I thought this game was suppose to be supported by our sub fees.

It just seems like Activision Blizzard wants more of our money any way they can get it. Also it feels like this kind of stuff has gotten worse since Activision and Blizzard merged.

Can we please get some unique in game content that isn’t more microtransactions.

There are tons of mounts and pets in-game. Having a few in the shop isn’t hurting anything.

As an addendum: You can use gold you make in-game to purchase anything you want on the shop by buying tokens.

You can buy everything in the shop with ingame gold. If it wasnt for that Id agree with you.

The shop is small and nothing in there will make or break your game. There’s no gear pieces, no required unlocks, just some cosmetics.

And some that they’re getting rid of to make sure the shop stays small for people like you who will find any excuse to cry “greedy corporation!”

Glad to see the thread contains logical responses. No in game purchase is gamebreaking and you can now spend in-game gold for anyways. Non issue imo.

Too many microtransactions in WoW, yet I keep paying for them. I see what I want and I buy it.

Same thing happened with cable and no commercials. Originally no commercials, but they figured out they had enough content to double up on the revenue stream.

It will continue as long as all AAA game studios chose not to compete by removing micro transactions. And why would they. It’s kind of a natural collusion that frequently arises when you have oligopolies.

Could you please name these mounts. I may not be a mount collector, but I think I’d remember seeing other players riding something that looked like a floating brain.

Due to both a declining player base and inflation, the sub is generating less revenue than before. I’m fine with optional “premium” content that allows them to make up the difference without raising the sub fees. And, since this content can be bought with in game gold, it is still available to everyone. This should be a win for everyone.
