You basically defined every class with that explanation lol.
It’s a basic rotation. Yea bm can be simpler than other specs, but it is also harder to min/max because of the nuances it has, it’s also easier to fudge your dps by mishandling cds and dots.
Now havoc dh on the other hand it literally 3 buttons lol. Zero nuances. Press x button when it’s off cd, win. Don’t dash off the map.

There are some nuances, but generally yes. lol
Hold up, I can totally hear Blizzard undoing months of work to build this new system because Andy here works full time and has 2 kids, he can’t handle it and by gods he made a post about it. Quick take it all back.

Some classes aren’t as bad as others. In general, stay away from Shaman, Hunter, or Warrior as those classes have the most keybinds in my experience, especially as pvper.
Before the talent change, I played literally every class in every spec. Except sub rogue. I just can’t stand that spec or to learn it.
If you wanna talk the most “simple” looking dps specs, but A LOT of nuances… arcane mage haha. Also easily the most misplayed spec in-game.

Well before new abilities shaman had around 38 Keybinds and my “Destro” had 32, but any other spec of lock had more than 32. I haven’t seen any class with more than these two generally.
I love Arcane, but too simple of a rotation for the amount of damage it can do if geared. :S I feel like some class have to work 20x harder hitting more buttons to get the same result as say a DH/Hunter, or similar classes with less nuances/set backs.
as funny as it may be to meme on arcane telling someone to play arcane when they want an easy to play non stressful class is not the play, I’d say “play DH” instead, arcane does a very specific (not hard) rotation to do your thing but it can be messed by so many outside factors and if your ramp up is ruined you just twiddle your thumbs till the next mini burst rotation.
But yeah game’s not inherently hard button wise, healers may be the ones more affected by button bloat with so many damage spells coming back along heal spells, disc in particular may be overwhelming for a returning player.

Not every ability that you have access to is meant to actually be used, my Frost DK has Death Coil but the situations where that would actually be useful are so rare and with so little benefit that it’s not even worth putting it on my bars, but it’s still nice to have it available just for flavor.
if you really wanted to, you can just limit yourself to certain abilities, you dont have to use all of em. Dont even put em in the bars.

See shiny, click shiny, prime DH experience.
Sadly it’s a lot to min/max. You have to play it perfect to see the damage you want to see.
I just play frost when I mage. It’s the most involved and fun to play honestly. You can play around with builds and still win.
Dh are just… ugh lol. All about stats. Mostly cookie cutter, some hybrids…
Honestly I am really enjoying bm since the talent changes. There is more depth. Although I am hating having to press multi shot more… It sucks they didn’t make the tier 10 second cleave more baseline lol.

eh depends. Vuhdo can double keybind all your standard keys, and you can have dps keys set for the same keys. Basically you just click health bars, and tab enemies and use the same keys. Its not bad at all tbh.
I just use tilde to 5 with shift/ctrl/alt modifiers for basic rotational abilities
“F” key and modifiers are for “Oh Shiz” moments
“G” key and modifiers for CD DPS windows.
That’s already 32 keys at my fingertips.
I’ve played Druid for a long time, so I guess I’m just used to having a lot of stuff bound. I’m always trying to figure out how to optimise it more, though.

Depends on tree and spec. In some cases you can go passives heavy and really cut down on the binds. I like the versatility of the current system.

Interesting.
Yeah my Q,W,E,R keys are my CD’s, the shift variants are shapeshift.
I use 1-5 and shift 1-5 for damage on all forms, I use vuhdo for left/right/middle mouse button + shift variants for healing. Aoe Healing is thrown onto my Human form/tree form at Shift 1-5 depending on if its aoe. T is my interrupt, Shift T is a root. F is another root. Shift F is cyclone. V and Shift V are dash/stampeding roar. My 6th button is mark of the wild. G is usually my regrowth procs when I play boomkin or feral, its also a way to shape shift faster (same with dash) , I also have a bear form macro so I can swap to bear form and then use frenzied right off the bat with the second press of the same key.

I really gotta start using macros. Might make my life a little easier even after all these years lol.
I don’t PvP much, so the defensives are less important I guess. You pretty much get told when to use them by DBM in PvE.
I main boomie, so I use the shift modifiers for AoE, ctrl modifiers for utility like heals/inervate/bres etc.
The shapeshifts are bound to what utility they provide, cat goes with general utility, bear with defensives.
I’m just glad I can opt to have some abilities in all forms again. I was not a fan of the affinity system, and I hated looking at the empty slots in those forms bars.
Such an eyesore… I like my button bloat.

Same. It keeps me busy and my abilities have always offered utility. I would rather have it than not have it. Usually ctrl middle button is my innervate.
LMB = Rejuv
RMB= Regrowth
MiddleMB= Lifebloom
Shift LMB= Swiftmend
Shift RMB= cenarion ward
Shift MMB= clense/dispell/remove curse
But if i’m not using the double keybinds
MMB is my kitty stealth which helps for dotting everything up before I have to start healing again, and that just swaps me over to humanoid form by using vuhdo.
It sounds complicated but its so easy with the way its set up. I love druid generally

Then play a different game. Stop trying to ruin and destroy the depth of MMO video games. Not every game needs to be played in 15 minutes and log for the year.
