Too many abilities now

Best way of doing something like that for Warrior/Pally (the only two that really benefit) is to macro equipping your main weapon onto your major rotation abilities.
That way if you do use an ability to swap to a shield for example, it will make sure you don’t forget to swap back to your main one as your rotation will automatically requip it for you.

Oh, thank you for this. I can try the macro.

But I can tell you, it’s not very smart or intuitive methods.
They could just increase the base defense or enhance the mitigation spells that ret pally already has.
