Hi everybody!
Everyone keep telling me that I can do better in damage in Mythic+. I’m 205 ilvl and I’m doing like 2.5-2.6 DPS max. I think 3.0K should be a more appropiate damage for my gear. I’m using the same rotation presented in icy-veins and wowhead. If anyone could take a look at this log (In warcraftlogs report id: CMLhfDxKvAWXr1zw) it’d be awesome!
Take care everyone.
PVE sorry I didn’t mention it
I had a very quick look at your logs, a few small things I noticed which might improve your dps a little
- focus on maintaining as much uptime as possible with S&D & Rupture, I noticed some of your kills you were around 60% uptime on each, need to aim for closer to 90%+
- Shadowdance should always be used with Symbols, I noticed that sometimes they didn’t quite align - it’s a pretty big dps lose if you don’t use these together.
- I wouldn’t recommend using the MA leggo for raiding. Finality is a better all rounder, and I think Akaari’s soul is better for ST.
- I think you have a bit too much Haste & Mastery, recommend swapping some pieces out. Aim for Crit/Vers as your priority.
- Enchant your weapons.
- try and make sure you’re using a finisher at 5-6 combo points. Not sure if you use WA, but you can find some decent enough ‘rogue’ kits which will help you manage your CD’s and Maintenance Buffs so you’re not overcapping combos or capping out on energy.
edit, 3 more things
- switch to the Niya soulbind tree and take Burrs.
- If you have Planned Execution at 200ilvl+, I’d recommend that over DD and PV
- Secret Technique isn’t a great raid option for talents. Take Master of Shadows.
Hope these helped, GL

Yoji’s advice is good - a couple of other thoughts.

Beating Abomination Core is very nearly the worst possible trinket for you - I’m assuming you don’t have a choice right now but would prioritize replacing to a better trinket (even the PvP trinkets will significantly outperform that trinket since the proc is a healing proc). You’re probably losing a couple hundred dps on the trinket alone.

Probably the same story on the daggers but having your weapons lag your ilvl is pretty non-ideal. If nothing else you could farm conquest from unrated BGs and buy the conquest daggers that are ilvl 200.

I would consider the enchants for your chest and rings in addition to your weapons. They’re fairly cheap and reasonably impactful (particularly the chest enchant).

If you’re doing M+ a couple of Yoji’s comments are a little less applicable. Korayn soulbind for M+ likely outperforms Niya since you have so many more opportunities to take advantage of First Strike. Would also consider swapping to Premed and Master of Shadows since I suspect you’ll find them a little easier to play and they tend to produce higher dps in AOE situations.

I mean, for aoe pulls, just make sure you fan of knives, followed by symbol + dance + secret techniques using the MA legendary. That’s your best opener. As for single target, just make sure you don’t use your dance unless you can at least use symbol with it. Don’t just dance by itself unless both charges are capped.

Shouldn’t you symbol + dance before the fan of knives(shuriken storm) so the mobs have find weakness on them for the big secret technique hit?
I don’t run ST anymore but that’s how I did it when I did.
Thank you so mucho everybody. These tips are great, damn I love this community
I’ll try them all. Originally I used Master of Shadows, but I thought Secret techniques was better for aoe. I know my daggers are low and actually I’m farming conquest right now to buy the pvp ones. And definitively i’m going to replace my trinkets. My idea is to buy pvp gear since the majority has versability and crit. Thanks again for everything!

I was sub since the start of the expac and loved it but had to swap over to outlaw for raid. Not as fun as it was compared to sub but the damage and dps increase is to good to pass up on. Hoping sub gets some nice buff for pve.

Best tip I can give you is to not play sub for pve unless it’s to solo.
