Too late to start?

Hey y’all,

In people’s opinions who are levelling, or levelled recently, is it too late?

When I say “too late” I mean too late to catch up. It seems like the content is gate-kept by people wanting “Experienced” players.

Want to join a PuG? Need logs.

Want to join a raiding guild? Need logs, and profs.

I am wondering, because I want to return to SoD for phase 4, but will most likely be starting from level 1. I have no issue putting in effort getting the right consums for raids, and what not.

This was on Alliance - Wild Growth but I think all established servers will be fairly similar.

Thanks all,
<3

you’ll find plenty of groups in phase 4 :expressionless: the people still playing will be desperate for new recruits

I have no idea how it is on alliance side but on horde its still very active and yes, you will see people asking for logs (LOL) but the majority of pugs wont. The world is still very much alive… just last night there was a nice lowbie battle in STV by Ness Camp.

I recently just started back up and i am enjoying myself and finding groups no problem. The only “issue” you might find is getting all the runes, i found it overwhelming but others probably don’t.

Why would you want to start again in a game version you said was dying just a month ago?

Because I want to experience the actual end game of SoD. Don’t know why that is so hard for you comprehend.

Normally I’d respond with something valid, but recalling your (OP) nonsensical commentary on other threads … I’m gonna pass.

Cool story bro.

Yep. Play or don’t. Your negativity isn’t missed in game or on the forums.

It’s not too late.

And you likely won’t have an issue finding a mid-tier raiding guild. There are already a lot recruiting for p4 now (many accept just about anyone) and will be more looking to fill spots when p4 hits. If you really can’t find one offering a roster spot, many guilds have alt nights or 2nd/3rd teams without much barrier to entry and if they see you do well enough in those you’ll get into their main team.

If you are on alliance wild growth, you will find an active dragon slaying group of people to play with. Probably the healthiest server for the faction / game as a combo. I assume you don’t care for PvP since you are on a PvE server and luckily the vast majority of all US alliance are on wild growth.

There are plenty of horde guilds (mine included) who take anyone who is willing to show up as them best selves and be willing to get better.

Logs can be manipulated and most people just look at the first numbers they see. I’ve played with plenty of players that parsed well at the start of the phase that are garbage for the majority of the rest of the phase.

I’ve had fun raiding SoD on the alliance side of wildgrowth. Never been asked for logs or anything and raiding ST. The horde side is a lot more hardcore so I switched to the alliance side and had fun. I just found I don’t have fun with hardcore people and like a chill raiding guild. Switching to alliance made a world of a difference.

When P4 launches, you’ll get a 150% xp buff on all toons under 50. From 50-60 you will have a 50% XP buff.

That should make leveling a breeze.
