Yeah I give it a week or two before majority go back to retail. It’s actually atrocious.

Been queueing skirms all week on my geared mage on TBC and it’s just horrible. Rogues near bis pve gear everywhere with busted design (sap/blind not DR’ing, cheap/kidney not DRing, garrote silence, double vanish). Warriors that are full kara geared with pvp off-pieces using stunherald already. SL/SL locks. Certain classes/specs being literally obsolete to the point where you can’t even counterplay or win like you can on retail with an off-meta spec.

Trust me, I was super excited for tbc arena and then i started doing it and im like dam, it’s bad man.

9.1 Waiting room at this point queueing tbc only because ladder on retail is dead.

75% of horde players dont even have half of their honor set finished cuz of 40 mins+ queue times

 serves them well. that’s what they get for being sheep and basically following the herd. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

So basically arena the last 8 years except you’re higher level and can fly on tbc and all your friends are there.

I don’t think 9.1 is saving anything

I said this months ago. But everyone fanboyed for some fantasy reality where TBC arena was fun… it wasn’t.

Only a select few classes/specs enjoyed PvP in TBC prior to DR’s being added. Trust me the quality of life changes we have now make arena much more enjoyable, even if the current retail season is lame.

Resilience will fix it.

That still won’t fix how some classes are basically unplayable at any serious rating and the way DR favors certain specs/comps. This game is solved and isn’t fresh like it was in tbc so you’re gonna see some of the biggest tryhard cheesing you’ll ever see in tbc arena

Can’t wait.

we will see tomorrow!

Lucky ur a mage huh

I love the honesty

Yeah and even then it’s not that fun. Some lock put 2 dots on me and sent his pet on me and I died from that while he was being killed by my rogue partner.

You oom super fast can’t even use your abilities, have no haste so it feels bad. This’ll get better over time but still, the underlying class problems wil still be there. Stuff like double blanket silence if y out queue into double lock or lock mage. Etc

:slightly_smiling_face: but supposively tbc arena is better than retail?

Depends on what you mean by serious rating… Like r1? Fair… But how is that different than retail? How many r1 combat rogues have you seen? Demo locks? Mm hunters?

If you’re talking 2100 then I’d say most specs have some comps they can play.

Balance in tbc is bad, 100%, but retail is average at best. Not that big a jump honestly.

I mean did you see all the Destro locks that came out of the wood work in BFA S4? Or how they all rerollered warrior fire mage for S1 of SL? Or all the BM hunters now? I would 100% play vs rmp in retail than BFA Destro/fire.

Again, tbc arenas will be average at best. Retail is about the same. Tbc will be jumping until 9.1. then retail will pull some people back. I am curious how many people will come back. Classic is an interesting experiment

So I never played TBC but pretty sure all comps are viable at least up to 2200 which I think in tbc was average? :flushed:

Trying something new, bloomy?? Aren’t you multi r1 on mage?
