Anyone else feel like they like Tyrannical more than Fortified? Count me among those. Fortified just makes the whole dungeon such a slog.

Not me. Tyrannical just extends boss kill times on fights that are generally, by design, really one dimensional. I far prefer fort.

I have mixed feelings about it. On tyran the boss fights are really long and either super hard and uncomfortably (yazma) or very boring (rezan). On fort everything just one shots people if they don’t cc well but at least they can respawn. Maybe delete both, the new thing about 2 is the timer so it doesn’t really need an affix. Then try to tune every boss and trash pull so the same caliber of group can handle about everything with the same amount or comfort in key level. Ahh a gnome can dream

In pugs I prefer fort because if someone does something silly and we die, the pull might only have half the mobs left. Also at lower keys I know the other roles probably won’t know any of the trash mechanics but it won’t impact anything.

On tyrannical low to medium keys when the other roles don’t know boss mechanics it can be like pulling teeth. Just thinking about the hookshot boss in necrotic wake reminds me of all the times I had to watch helplessly as we missed 4-6 hooks in a row and I had to tank like 3 aboms.

In full friend groups though tyrannical is probably easier because we can blast on trash and I know we won’t be screwing up bosses or doing 60k dps single target.

…so, it begins.

It was nerfed multiple times. The duration is a joke now… Yet…

are there any affixes that aren’t “the worst”? Genuine question here.

What of we have Tyrannical fort and blostering

Sanguine is never a push week. Can’t pull stuff into bosses, lieutenants can’t be easily strung together, there’s 78 mobs this season that can’t be knocked/gripped but are social agro’d with stuff that explodes when you look at it.

Sanguine is my week off, and that’s saying something.

So it’s a won’t do a key past 14 all week week. Sanguine doesn’t exist if you stick to 14s max

Easier said than done with the amount of casters and lack of ways to los. At least I have typhoon though.

While I personally found this week easy it seems that a lot of groups struggled with it for some reason. Part of it was the affixes but part of it was also people getting into key levels they really aren’t ready for. I know I saw other people complain previously but it hadn’t seemed to bad at even a +18, but this last week I had multiple groups where half the group or more didn’t understand baiting mechanics or when to use CC in 20’s.

Not sure whats going on.

Hate:

  • Sanguine
  • Bursting
  • Grievous
  • Infested
  • Prideful

You have to pay or be best friends (and even than only maybe) to get me into M+:

  • Necrotic

Tyrannical is always easy if you pug. Players are more likely to learn boss mechanics than they are mob mechanics. No idea why but it makes Tyrannical a joke even with hard affixes.

I’ll still be taking the week off and likely every other week going forward. I got my KSH during the genuinely BS week of bolstering + fortified. Nothing can top how utterly ridiculous that was as a healer.

For sure. Entangling, volcanic, storming. Those are the best I can think of. I don’t necessarily think affixes have to be these huge impactful things a lot of people think they do. They can be negligible. They aren’t positively adding to most people experience as they are, so reeling them back would be good. Or they could make buffs that rotate weekly and encourage you to bring different classes.
