So I pre ordered the deluxe addition and got everything the early access mostly, the beta invite yadda yadda…what i’m assuming is that blizzard has learned form their years of past mistakes, has thoroughly stress tested early access and took all the bugs out of it for as seamless and smooth of an early access release as humanly possible
I mean, there’s always bugs with every video game launch. WoW’s next expansion won’t be any different.
It’s just what happens. But as an experienced gamer who’s been through this before, you know that and will have patience while they get things sorted out, right?
There will be some bobbles, however, I think it will be a pretty easy launch. I imagine there will be some DDoSers trying to see if Blizz is serious about jail time causing minor inconvenience.
It went very smoothly in the test a few days ago, but it’s not clear how large a crowd was participating relative to what we’ll see on a typical server. The opening questline has the potential to be a madhouse if the hamsters start burning out.
No I’m pretty sure the servers are going to be destroyed and it will be mostly unplayable all weekend. They’ll have to do several emergency patches and a major downtime probably next Tuesday to fix it.
I always expect the worst, but the last number of launches have been relatively smooth on my end, so I suspect no different tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. local time for me.
Doom and gloom will not prevail, I think it’ll go off without a hitch.
